Interesting that Calzaghe has more votes than HAtton.

Ive always said Ricky fights better opposition, Tszyu(P4P top 5 at the time), Castillio(past it but still got the job done with a KO, Calzaghe couldnt even do that to a toally shot ROy Jones and got put on his backside in the process). Urango win looks better every day, Mallinagi,Collazo (looks better after Berto fight), Mayweather (P4P 1), and Manny,

Joe is obviously going to clean up in this poll (not suprising)

But this is where I get suprised when Joe gets votes in a top 100 ATG.

How many of the guys in the Poll would you hhave in a top 100 ATG?

    Jones, Hopkins, MArquez Pacman, Mosley?

    Seems pretty comprehensive..Calzaghe.
Why has Cotto got that number of votes?IMO his resume is better than Calzaghes by far

    Hatton to be honest.
It is not a poor resume as people like to make out, but it does not have a lot of top names.

Calzaghe despite choosing to fight in a comfort zone for a long time and wasting much of his career did fight Eubank, Reid, Mitchell, Woodhall, Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins....

I don't count RJJ as he was so past it. Now we can look at Lacy being overrated etc, but it is also partly to do with when you took the fight, when Calzaghe did Lacy was seen by many as the man at the weight, I huge risk and unbeaten.
He was never as good as people thought but better than many think now, and having his confidence shot to bits and then a serious injury ruined him.

    No it really doesn't.

The likes of Quintana, Malignaggi, Corley :)lol:) and a Judah that hadn't won a fight in 2 years don't even beat Calzaghe's resume to the same point in his career (30 fights) - Eubank, Reid, Sheika, Woodhall.

That leaves you Mosley who, even now, is rated below Hopkins in most peoples P4P rankings and was significantly so at the time of the respective fights.

Calzaghe clearly has the better opposition without even getting to the two names you actually came up with, but like I say, the question ain't really fair on Cotto, given that Calzaghe has finished his career and Cotto, hopefully for him, has yet to reach the peak of his.
