like i said earlier, im hoping Cotto outboxes Clottey and he should be able to....im just scared that Clottey catches Cotto with a counter while Cotto tries to go down on Clotteys body :(

Clottey is tough and relentless, but Cotto outboxes him, as Cotto would have outboxed Margacheato , if not for the loaded gloves.

Clottey is the style of fighter who could trouble Cotto; a big guy who he'll struggle to hurt but can hurt him. As others have asaid though, the difference in boxing ability is way too much.

Considering Clottey's hand was broken in the Margarito fight and he probably would have kicked his ass otherwise I lean towards Clottey, but it would be a hard fought and close fight. I just dont see Cotto hurting Clottey.

    Cotto via comfortable UD.

Cotto will figure a one dimensional fighter like Clottey out pretty quicky.

    How is Clottey one-dimensional?

I'm not even sure what everyone's definition of one dimenional is. I see a guy who can fight on the inside and has the jab and boxing ability to fight on the outside as well. I see a guy who can counter as well as fight coming foward. I also see a guy who works the body and can punch in combinations. I don't see how he's one dimensional.

Clottey doesn't have great power but his defense is airtight and possesses above average handspeed for some nice counters. Clottey will likely win the early rounds but if he can't keep up the pace then Cotto will be able to outwork him down the stretch. Margo hit Clottey with 1675 punches, setting a compubox record, yet could never send him down. I highly doubt Cotto will come close to even knocking him down. If Clottey had better stamina and workrate he would probably win but the guy kills himself more than Williams to make 147 which obviously affects his conditioning.

  15. Clotty by late KO, to big and strong, the African has a chin of iron, unlike Cotto, who quit against Margarito...
