Holt doesn't have one of the worst chin's in boxing. Although, it certainly doesn't do him any favours against the big punchers in the division and if I had to say what his most limiting factor is I would probably say Holt's chin holds him back more then anything. but the flip side to that arguement is that if I had to say the same thing about Bradley I would say his power is his worst attribute. Against Bradley I believe that holt's chin won't be the deciding factor. Don't get me wrong I will not be suprised if Holt goes down durring this fight. But it will be on the end of a pefect counter shot. Like the one that Bradley put Cherry down with. But I will be suprised if Holt doesn't pop right back up the same way Cherry did. As far as witter. He didn't give Judah any trouble. Judah didn't **** him up, I'll give you that but he fights with such a defensive style and his reflexes are so good that you wouldn't expect him to have gotten ****ed up anyways. And more to the point the Witter that fought Judah was a lot better then the witter that fought Bradley, that much was clear after the fight.
Agree with you here bro. Hatton's speed is probably his most underrated quality. Infact in his fights with the three slickest guy's he's faced (floyd, Collazo and malignaggi). They've all gotten suprised by his speed minutes into the fight.
I'm favoring Holt although it's on shaky ground. I just think he has the faster hands, as good if not better power than Bradley, he's taller and has been in with way better competition. I don't know if he'll stop Bradley but Idefinitely think Desert Storm will spend some time on the canvas and probably lose a decision. That said Bradley has the ultimate equalizer in an outstanding overhand right. Holt doesn't fight smart and is prone to being frustrated during fights. If Desert Storm uses his elusiveness and keeps the fight away from the middle of the ring, chances are he'll be given a prime opportunity to land that massive overhand right and put Holt on the canvas. Whether Holt can recover from that? I'm not quite sure. A great fight either way.
Bradley is gonna struggle getting past Holt's reach that'll lead to him eating right hands on his way in. He's chin has never been checked before by a concussive but deceptive puncher like Holt and he'll definitely feel something he's never felt before. He's the shorter guy and a good boxer but he's going to have to take alot more chances than Holt given that holt an excellent boxer himself. Especially if Holt takes a safety first approach like he did against arnoutis, he can outbox and decision bradley quite easily. Torres was able to force Holt against the wall and forced him to fight but bradley obviously is not going to fight that way. I dont think he's ready for someone who's as cold blooded as Holt.
i hate that bet no value whatsoever sure bradley could win (he might even be a slight favorite), but there's no chance in hell he's a -160 favorite... i think you're gonna go broke if you consistently lay those kinds of odds in essentially pick'em (MAYBE 11 to 9 max) fights
Without a doubt he has more power than Bradley but that's also one of his biggest weaknesses. Holt to me has seem to have fallen in love with his power much more than he did when he was younger. He spends too much time now loading up looking for the big shot. While he's doing this Bradley will be more active and wining rounds. If anyone is going to be tasting the canvas it will be Holt whose chin is shaky at best. Bradley has shown no indication of having shaky chin he took shots form Witter who punches just as hard if not harder than Holt does and wasn't bothered.
I disagree here. Bradley is by far the better boxer. He's more complete better counter-puncher, better jab, better defense, better workrate and movement. The only thing Holt has on him is reach and power. Holt is simply not active enough to beat a guy like Bradley.
red = right Blue = disagree I think that if you can box a smart fight bradley won't be all that active. I see his real strength being as a counter puncher. He didn't throw to many shots against Witter but he was countering him so well that witter didn't have a F'ing clue what was going on by the end of the fight (split decision my ass). It think if Holt decides to do as you say and load up on the shots all night bradley will **** with his ass just the same as he did with Witter. I'll be suprised if Bradley gets hurt in this fight. He's as cute as they come and has reportedly got a rock solid chin.
Witter is such an awkward fighter that Bradley found the best thing for him to do was counter him and he dropped Witter with a beautiful counter shot in that fight. I just don't like what I've seen from Holt lately. He got lucky in that fight with Torres in the rematch. I think people will be surprised at the way Bradley deals with Holt.
Bradley was wobbled by a Cherry Bomb hook. That said of course we have no indication whether or not that was an isolated incident. And the way for Bradley to win is pretty much outlined by you. Be more active and score points regardless of whether or not you're doing any major damage. If he puts Holt behind on the cards (which is entirely possible) then all he has to do is wait for Holt to get lazy and come in with the overhand right. That said Holt was a lot more active against Torres in fight 1 and against Hopkins. He only needs to be active enough to have the "OOOH" crowd pleasing punches to steal a round potential.
I believe that was the same overhand right that put Cherry on the canvas twice. It's a very underrated weapon and if Holt gets caught with it, it might not be pretty for Holt.
