Your post was cool, except for the laughing at the end, because I'm a long-time Golota fan and he made me worship boxing. He WAS the great-white-hope of the mid-nineties, but I can't believe nobody actually has referred to him as that, until NOW!!!!

 

I was his big fan too during that time. I actually believed that he would become champ someday until he kept on snapping in some won fights.

 

I disagree. I think there's nothing anymore to talk about Golota. Bart's fork is more interesting than him.

Sucks about many of these heavyweights who squander their talents on lack of conditioning. Sam Peter, Rahman, Tua, Corrie Sanders, Arreola. Then you have the super talented with superior conditioning guys like Golota and Ibeabuci who squander their talent because they are nutjobs. :!:

 

Even if ESB were to someday meet it's demise,as did the Ultimate Golota Forum back in 2000, The Golota Express would simply morph itself onto another boxing site. There is just no stopping it.

 

I remember when Golota was the only white guy in the top ten back in '96. He was even called the great white hope. Now there is no such thing. He paved the way for the current crop of eastern euro invasion.
