I call for Mickey Vann to come out of retirement and referee the MAY 2ND bout

BennyJ - Whilst I agree that Vann is a very good referee I feel that his has possibly referee'd far to Many of Hattons fights to be classed as impartial. He should be employed over in the US though just not where British fighters are concerned as I feel he would do well and make a name for himself. Another thing, genuinely not having a go mate coz I do think your right but you can't say he must have done something right to have ref'd all those title fights.... So must have Cortez

 

Most of my threads are meant to have a half point/half tongue incheek feel.. Smoger honestly would be the BEST for this fight

Hatton holding over and over and over and over and over and over is illegal thats why some fighters get points deducted or even DQed we dont need any refs that allow that **** to go down in the biggest fight of the year. The last thing people wanna see is a clinch fest its boxing damnit we wanna see hands not hugging where it eliminates any possible action and drasticually slows down the pace even in a already boring fight.

 

You want this guy so Hatton can cheat his way to a victory like he did against Tszyu? It won't matter anyway. When Hatton goes to wrestle Pac will be gone and punched him before he knows what happened!

 

Smoger would be bad for Ricky cause he let's fight go on longer than anyone else which= worse beating for Hatton.:smoke

 

Mickey Vann has proven TIME AND TIME gain to be a classy and proffesional ref. Just because hes from England, doesnt mean hes gonna play favorites with hatton

 

So it sounds like the consensus is that either Smoger or Mickey Vann would be the best choice for May 2nd..should make for a splendid fight!
