i'd pick hagler over the sugarman because ,at his peak srr was only 150lb at best and thats not big enough to keep hagler off.i couldn't see even the biggest hitters at middle hurting hagler.
where is dave sands in the top 50,flamengo ??

Would you rate SRR below Haglar.... purely due to his own weight, during the incredible period of which he dominated????

Sands, being unfulfilled has warrant for top 25. Had he survived to show his finest, a top 10 spot would be a chance. PURE SPECULATION.

Allowing Sands to fight into his late 20's... He'd be remembered alongside SRR, Haglar, Monzon. The era would have provided some fantastic matches for Dave Sands.

Sands may have become part of the 'round robin' of SRR's departure/returns, yet he'd have been a great handful for SRR on most nights. IMO, a better performer against a Joey Maxim.... especially in the heat. For Sands, mental stability (homesickness) whilst abroad was a deficet, as it was for numerous others.

I'd like to give Sands all benefits of greatness, had he been allowed the chance.

Roy Jones shouldn't be in that list. He wasn't at MW long enough and although he ranks high H2H doesn't have a good enough resume at MW to put him THAT high.

    For me, Hagler is no.1.

During that period you had Hopkins, Toney, Jones, McCallum, Kalambay, Nunn, Johnson, Collins, Eubank, Castro, Jackson.

Joppy would need a good defense lawyer to get into the top 100 middleweights of all time I reckon.

Joppy being a long reigning champion was glaring evidence the middleweight division was really hitting a low point.

the likes of him and keith holmes were barely even world class imo.

I admire you for attempting, I myself always refrain from making MW lists because I find them so difficult, but frankly you ****ed up when you put Jones ahead of Hopkins.

I don't have a huge problem with your top 5 picks. Some of the other picks seem out of place. Picking top 25 middles is not easy.

Could someone explain how Valdez could possibly rank ahead of LaMotta? Am I the only one who noticed that?
