Hey, it's not as if I've never been right before!

Bet the farm on Winky. It's inevitable.

Yes, I can see it now! Winky covers up for 180 second clips without throwing a punch. He's doomed!

Not likely. Williams' power is nothing special.

Winky has handled better and bigger punchers who had more skills than that hack Williams.

Winky is one of the few in the game that i consider unknockoutable. Besides Winky has fought bigger punchers than Williams. Also Williams power at 160, which is Winkys territory, will have no effect on Winky. Unless Winky ages a shitload on the 11th he is taking this fight.

Winkys a middleweight now. I doubt he can make 154 now. Your right about the bigger punching thin there. I was just trying to say that the chances that Williams stops him are slim to none. A shutout maybe but not a stoppage.

Winky only has to show up 80% and he still beats williams imo.

Winky shows up at 80% he takes 10 rounds. Nothing against Williams, I really like the kid and think he has a ton of upside, but Winky is another league.

Maybe at his absolute best that was true, but I think he's probably better suited for 160 now.

    True enough.

Even still, I would be extremely surprised if Paul somehow managed to stop Winky.

Quite frankly, I think the odds are much better of a first round KO for Winky.

That's not true. I have a pair of gloves hanging on the wall in my room.

    Tell that to Shane Mosley.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

And you have the audacity to say that I don't know boxing?

Who has Williams ever beat that compares to any of Winky's top fights?

Margo? The man Mosley just beat like a *****?

    A-****ing-men!

And for the record, I think Winky only needs to be 65-70% of what he had against Hopkins, but I anticipate he will be at least 85% of what we saw then, and that dropping the 10 pounds will further amplify his performance.

I cannot believe so many are sleeping on the Great Winky Wright!

Especially against a largely unproven commodity in Williams.

Or Fernando Vargas. Winky took the fight to one of the most destructive fighters out there at the time and did WORK, and anyone who saw the fight knows it was all Winky. I see a lot of people underestimating Winky around here who will look mighty foolish in a week and some change...

    :good

    Could not agree more, unclepaulie.

I could be mistaken, but I think a lot of this stems from the Hopkins fight. To be fair, the inactivity is a reason for concern, but again, people are overstating these factors.

    Everyone looks bad against Hopkins.

Plus, Williams is no Shane Mosley, and even with his best effort in the rematch, Mosley still fell short. Styles make fights, yes, but I'm baffled as to what Williams brings to the table that makes people think this is a favorable match-up for him. Lest we forget, he was THOROUGHLY outboxed by the very mediocre Quintana.

Stick a fork in Williams, Winky has returned!!
