    After bad decisions that went against them or similar incidents?

    Schommer after Eubank.

    Tiberi against Toney.

    Zarate called it quits for a while after the controversial Pintor loss.

    Johnny Famechon retired in disgust when he didn't get the nod against Vicente Saldivar. I don't think Famechon deserved the decision, though I guess he has a slim argument for it. Would have been better off coming back and rematching Saldivar, because Vicente was ready to be taken.

    Fair call.

    A rematch with Saldivar on any soil would have been worthwhile.

    Regardless, Fammo was happy to call it quits.

    Sonny Liston's last loss was a KO, and he beat Chuck Wepner after that.

    I don't think he even retired. He probably would've fought again if he hadn't died.

    My ex boss Johnny Pritchett retired after being disqualified in the 13rd for alleged careless headwork in a bid for the European Middleweight title against Italian Juan Carlos Duran in Italy. As far as I know he was winning the fight.
    Strangely enough I've just looked at Duran's record and discovered that he won 2 other European title fights in Italy. Yes, you guessed it, by late round disqualification.
    On top of that he won 3 other fights by disqualification.
    John retired as British and Empire Middleweight Champ with a 32-1-1 record. He was 26.

    Kinda like Robinson being dropped and out-fought by Joey Archer in '65..... By 1965, as a fighter, Robinson had become a mockery of himself in the ring....
