Done mate. I am not disrespecting the pounds Sterling just that at this moment in time US Dollars are more useful to me as I fully intend to win this bet thats all.

Ron after our great debates you know that I respect you and look forward to our discussions on the forum. However this point you make about us not facing punchers I find strange. We don't avoid punchers. If the truth be known we are just glad to get in there with anybody willing to fight us. We don't have the liberty to pick and choose. In any event I have no concerns about Ajose's chin which has been tested.

I respect that Olu,but that's still to me a question he needs to answer,i realise people like Nigel Wright hit harder than their records suggest but Ajose still hasn't been in there with a real banger.Although like you say that may just be the way the cards have been dealt. I think basically on here Olu there is an impatience to find out how good Ajose actually is.Obviously being on the inside you're in no doubt,it's just that us cynical outsiders need more proof!

Ron I absolutely understand what you mean. I myself have always said that people would really not understand just how good Ajose is until he is put in there against the likes of Hatton, Bradley etc. I actually used to put Junior Witter in this category but I think he has clearly slipped. To be honest that is why as much as I like McCloskey and think he is a good kid my preference is for Ajose to take out someone in the top 5 to secure a title shot preferably Witter as that fight should sell well in the UK.

I was also there for Barnes vs Okine as it was on the Hatton vs Tyzsu undercard. Okine looked better than he really was because Barnes was completely unfit and unfoccussed. However, that is not taking anything away from Okine who can only beat what is in front of him.

BTW, I was only having a dig at you because I was a bit offended by what I interpreted to be an attack on the British Title which despite becoming a lot less important over the last 10-15 years since the birth of many "World" titles still has a history to be proud off.

Africa produces many good fighters and a lot of rubbish ones but so does every continent. For every Azumah Nelson there is a Samual Kebede and for every Lennox Lewis there is a Roman Greenberg.

I have a Video collection of 1000's of fights and I often like re-watching fights involving Ghanian fighters because when they turn up on our shores most of the time they contribute to a good fight.

Do you really believe Barnes was unfit for the Okine fight. The reason I ask is because it was in the last round the fight was stopped. I am thinking could he have lasted up to round 12 after he went down heavily earlier.

    I do.

I think the Ali Nuuembebe fight took too much out of him to make such a quick return to the ring. (5 or 6 weeks between the 2 fights). There was something missing that night and something that never returned until, in my opinion, the night he fought Ted Bami. If Okine had been a bigger puncher he would have had Barnes out there a lot earlier. (Not forgetting that he had Barnes down in the 5th of course)

Barnes did get up from that Knockdown but should have been finished then and there.

I might watch that fight tonight actually to see if my memory and observations are correct after nearly 4 years!
