In your opinion, does Tarver have any chance at all against Dawson?

    Current odds

    Dawson 1/7
    Tarver 5/1

Does Tarver look good at the longish odds of 5/1?

It's hard to say yes, imo, after the last outing. I had my money on Tarver last time out... eeek..

Nope. It was obvious enough Dawson was going to win easily the first time. Tarver's punchers chance is not even a great one considering he rarely got within range of Dawson's whiskers to inflict any damage.

Dawson is just too quick and talented for the old man.

This was partly my thinking first time round and so I took the longer odds on him. He was hopeless though, and absolutely stunk the place out so bad.

Having said that, rematches are sometimes different, and Tarver has a history of doing rematches very well.

Even at 5/1 though he perhaps still doesn't look that attractive...

I don't think the rematch will make any difference whatsoever. I think we'll see a carbon copy of the first, even if Dawson's motivation drops. But that works both ways, if Tarver loses a couple of rounds he could easily become disheartened after getting owned once.

Tarver is not comfortable trying to set the pace, the sheer athleticism and handspeed of Dawson forces him to lead off. Tarver is not adept enough at doing so. He's not Glen Johnson. It's a major problem for him to get in punching range and then to detonate something on Dawson that gives him the punchers chance.

I don't think Tarver can do anything different in the rematch. In fact I expect Dawson to beat him even worse this time around. The only good thing about this fight is that i get to see tarver's fine ass wife again.:yep

Yep! She looks like she's atleast 10 years younger than him so you know she's a gold digger and attention *****. Tarver is really over a barrel here. He has to keep fighting in order to please her but if he stops she probably leaves him and takes half.:-(

Not really. It was clear he had no chance in the first fight aswell.
Bets on this one should be if Dawson stops him or not.I think Dawson will win another wide decision.

With Dawsons chin and defence Tarver will always have a chance at the KO.

Im taking Antonio for this one, he's not going to take a rematch if he thinks he's not going to win as its not like he's making big money fighting No-Name Chad.

Given Tarver's track record in rematches (Harding, Jones, Johnson) you would have to assume he's got a shot but i don't think in this one. That was mostly a prime Tarver. This isn't. Tarver didn't even come CLOSE to landing anything big. Dawson is just way too fast for Tarver.
