:rofl:rofl Poor David Haye will still be a millionaire with this fight and actually box for the #1 spot in the Heavyweight division...after only 2 fights at heavyweight, 1 since he made a true commitment in that division and no top 10 guy at all !! If he's not happy, he can just head straight to the bar and drink til' his sorry ass passes out !
Wlad outclassed Haye out the negotiating table...and on June 20th, it will be the same story in the ring. Haye the sucker :yep :yep
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Remember when you were young, you were taught to earn it,,,well this is what happens when you don't earn it,,,,,,,An what i am hearing is that hayes gets the UK money, they did not say split in there, an UK will be ppv, were US money might be a few million at most, an german money is not ppv, so were is this big windfall for wlad, is china going to be PPV, i mean wlad going to clear ten million, an hell if i was wlad just to **** hayes off even more, i would make his german show PPV, then this motor mouth would have somthing to cry about, :hi:
Even if what that video says is true Haye didn't have to sign. He could've foght his way into a mandatory position with the IBF, WBO or even the WBC or WBA. He chose the easy route.
Haye is making his biggest payday ever, and is not even close to being a mandatory challenger. Haye is sure as hell not the type of draw that people are trying to make him out to be. Beyond that, Haye if David wins he is getting a shot at the IBF, WBO, IBO, and WBC titles. Along with that will certainly be a ring Magazine Championship title, and the 3 biggest paydays of his life. He would also be considered the undisputed Champion. I would love for someone to explain to me how this is a bad thing.
Champions stepping up in weight to the fight the champion of the division above happens all the time in boxing. Champions get fast tracked when they step up in weight, thats a fact, it makes for big fights and that is usually reflected in a fighters pay. When you have a Champion vs. Champion fight both fighters are bringing something to the table, a reputation, an audience etc. Should Hatton have earned $0 when he stepped up to fight Mayweather? Calzaghe for Hopkins? Should Pacquiao have fought himself into mandatory position to fight for David Diazs title? You telling me this fight doesnt generate more money for Wlad than any other option he has, except maybe Povetkin (at a push)? It is a bull**** remark to suggest that Hayes pay should reflect the fact that he has jumped the queue. As someone has mention earlier in the thread, this contract is unprecedented. When has a champion ever stepped up a division to fight the champion and never earned a penny for the fight? The people talking about the Setanta money for Haye should note something, Setanta do not do PPVs. Setanta is a subscription channel in the UK that shows boxing shows as part of the £12.99 a month package that they offer. Haye has already signed a deal with Setanta allowing them to air 4 of his fights. He has been paid for this contract already and will not earn more money out of this fight. Hypothetically, 1 million people could sign up to Setanta for one month in order to see this fight and Haye would still not see any of this money. Haye, the recognized champion of the cruiser weight division is stepping up in weight to fight the recognized king of the heavyweight division in a mega fight and is earning the same money as he would if he was fighting Audley ****ing Harrison.
See my post above. Explain how earning only the money from a TV deal that he would have received regardless of whether he stepped in the ring with Klitschko or not equates to a career high pay day for Haye please.
you would think by reading this that Haye is getting a raw deal and is the terrible victim here. honestly, this is the deal you receive in any business negotiation when you are unprofessional and have treated everyone involved like absolute crap during the process. Wlad doesn't need this fight and, quite honestly, haye doesn't deserve this fight. This was obviously a "take it or leave it" situation for Haye. I'm sure Haye felt absolutely humbled after the negotiations were settled. Good for Wlad for finally showing haye who the champ is and who is dicatating the terms in the Heavyweight division!!
so all of it is true because Haye says so.... and Haye would have no reason to lie or exaggerate :nut
