i think we can say holt and bradley are the second and third best at 140, so would the winner of their match have a shot at beating hatton. I dont think the fight will happen but i'd pick hatton quite comfortably. However if hatton loses to pac it may have a small chance to happen in my opinion.
i'd give both of them a shot to beat hatton, but ricky would still be a favorite in either fight i think the wbc is going to force the winner of the fight to fight devon alexander
I think Judah has just as good a chance and maybe even a better chance of beating Hatton as Holt and Bradley do.
I'm not so sure if Holt could, but I give Bradley a lot of respect and I think he has a very good chance of beating Hatton. This coming from someone who thinks Hatton is going to beat Pacquiao on May2nd.
Top fighters in tyhe division vs Hatton: Holt get ko'ed torres gets stopped, but hurts Hatton Judah gets stopped late Witter survives, but loses massively on points Bradley is very, very wrong for Hatton, but I think lacks the experience to win. Peak bradley is probably a couple of years away, peak Hatton is probably 2005. Peak vs peak, hatton. If they fought now, Hatton. A couple of years from now, Bradley on points. Personally, I'd love to see a Hatton vs Bradley fight in the next year or so.
Judah, nate Campbel and Ortis have better shots of beating Hatton. I would actually give Holt a better shot of beating Hatton then Bradley. Because if he could last long enough Holt's power might get him a 1 in a million late stoppage win....that being said the 1 in a million part is the chances he'd have of making it to the late rounds with his glass jaw. Bradley actually has the exact style the gives Ricky problems. So the fight would be much closer. Ricky's game is to use his foot speed (probably the best in boxing) to get close to his opponent and then he uses his excellent balance and his T-rex arms to wail away at his opponents rib cage until he says no mas. The only type of opponents that have been able to actaully steel rounds off Ricky (Hall of Famer Tzu not withstanding) are guys who can fight in the pocket, slip punches in close and counter. These two guys of course being Collazo and Floyd, which if you watch these two fights are basically carbon copies of each other the only difference being that floyd is a more acurrate explosive punches so his counter punch was much more affective then Collazo's, thus the tied turned quicker in that fight. I know Ricky's been introuble against a few guys that could punch but these guys were merely catching him with a few good punches in those fights, they weren't actually winning rounds (Urango and Lazcano). Unfortuently for Bradley both Collazo and Floyd needed their size to prevent Ricky from pushing them into positions for him to land his shots. Bradley does have the slip game and defence to try to execute this plan, but he is a small 40 lber and doesn't have nearly the size nor the punching power to make this work for him and thus he would probably get banged up bad and stopped late in a more competitive but more predictable fight then the one against Holt.
How do you know Timothy Bradley isn't at his peak?? Can you see the future or some $hit to know he'll peak in a few years?? I'd say Bradley-Hatton would be a good fight.Id favor Hatton but Bradley would be competitive and it wouldn't surprise me if Bradley won!
Wow your giving Bradley a lot of respect. I think you see what i see in this guy but I honestly doubt Bradley could fight at the pace Hatton would put on him. I am convinced that he doesn't have the power to keep Hatton off of him. And if you don't have that then you can't beat Hatton. I pretty much think what ever else you're bringing to the table its that cut and dry.
if any of you guys think bradley and holt stand a good chance of beating hatton, then no one should disagree when i say pac is gonna batter hatton to a 8th rd tko i rate bradley but he aint ready yet
Personally, I think he doesn't have the experience yet (am I right in thinking he was fighting eight rounders pre-Witter?), so I would anticipate him to improve. Maybe i'm wrong, I ain't claiming to be Mystic Meg here...
