Haye at HW? Froch at SMW? Hatton or Witter at LWW? Where are they? You could have Macklin on the Irish side at MW (he considers himself Irish) and he would be more likely to beat Barker than Lee. Very biased post!
The Hylands are poor in reality but they have a good back story so will continue to get a push and offered soft opponents.
Haye, Witter and Hatton are or were world champions. It is not biased, I matched guys up according to the levels they are currently at in there careers.
You said Ireland v UK, nothing about matching these guys according to levels. What you're doing is Frank Warren style matchmaking. There's also no matches at WW and LHW. I wonder why?
Patrick and Paul Hyland are not poor! They just need better opposition which is coming. Eddie on the other hand....

I changed it to include your best guys, I still see Ireland edging it. Note that a lot of the UK boxers have more experience than the Irish guys, so it's not exactly unfair match ups.
They are poor compared to the opponents listed against in this thread. Saw Paddy fight an awful Ukrainian in Barnsley, he was gifted a win that was disgusting.
I think you're talking about Paul, that was the fight before the scheduled EBU shot against Napa, I think he let the pressure get to him. He is a very good technical boxer though, I could see him easily out pointing Napa much like Bouziane did.
I have never liked Napa and would support Paul in this fight but from what I have seen of him he has very little chance of a win. He is ok technically but not upto top level domestic standard even in this day and age where we have a real lack of depth in the division. I could have sworn it was Paddy who fought that night. The Irish fans kept shouting paddy at him, well until it looked like he had lost the fight.
Why have you missed out light heavy and welter? 2 of the sports most important divisions but you ignore them. Why don't you just ignore all the divisions where you are picking Brit fighters then.
