But Zaryu, how do you know Hopkins has good stamina at 180lbs? Yes, he was old when we saw him there, but who's to say he won't lose speed and stamina if he went to 180lbs when he was 30? He never proved it in the ring. Rocky did, 49 times.

And yes, he's hard to hit clean, and so is Willie Pep, but i wouldn't pick him over Marciano either.

Do people not realize how hard marciano hits? Marvin Hagler and Jake Lamotta two of the most durable fighters we have ever seen, if they got hit once by one hard marciano shot, they would be down and out for the 10 count.

It's really speculation, and Marciano would really put Hopkin's stamina and heart to it's maximun test. But it was only with Calzaghe that Hopkins showed stamina issues, in his other fights close to that weight he's looked good enough for me to think that his strongest assets as a fighter would still be present if such a fantasy match up was possible.

Hopkins could give him trouble for 5 or 6 rounbds but Marciano would wear him down ... keep in mind Calzeghe had much more respect for Hopkins power after he was dropped in the first round . He fought a fairly cautious fight ... Hopkins could not seriously hurt Marciano unless he hit him with the ring stool. Marciano took the bombs of Walcott who hit much , much harder than Hopkins and likely as fast ... Rocky would wear him out and stop him in seven or eight rounds ...

Marciano gets such a bum rap. Everyone seems to want to take him down with these catchweight games. The bottom line is Rocky beat two of the greatest genuine 175'ers to ever live. Many will say the two greatest. That's enough for me.

I like reading more so about whether his tenacity, stamina, workrate, incredible will to win and underrated stylistic advantages could offset an Ali or Holmes. Every single punch the guy threw had power on it. He'd give these two great fights.

Wouldn't have anything to do with Hopkin's being about half a century old there, huh?

And I still haven't changed my mind about Pavlik and Lamotta. I know it bothers you that it's nearly impossible for u or anybody to change my mind, but when i'm ready to change my mind i'll change it because i think its worthwhile.

I like the fact that that i got u all bent out of shape, i love that... and i like the fact that im always on ur mind... u sure ur not a ***? Cuz if u are, i can see why, but i understand that a lot of things that ive said are a mental burden for you cuz u still havent gotten over it.:blood

Rocky Marciano would stop Bernard Hopkins sometime between the 1st and 4th round...in my opinion.

Rock would take this prob by ko or if not wide ud.

Crafty and defensively sound as bhop is rock is just too strong and relentless. Rock would be completely unfazed by bhops power and would catch up with him eventually, my estimate tko 6

    Marciano KO4 Hopkins.

If anyone really thinks Hopkins has a chance in this one they should pick a different sport to follow.
