A big grazing left and then a short crisp right hook AT THE BEGINNING OF ROUND 2 put Pitalua on ***** street:nut. Valero then finished him off tow knockdowns later with flurries. Valero is now using his speed. Valero called out J.M.M, and said that if it was up to him, he would go to 140 and fight the winner of Pac-Hatton, but he knows that, that is not what Arum wants at this moment.

Valero got the bum out of there, and can now go on to bigger and better things. He still stand straight up, but that is his style. Lure them in, and counter them. Starting the fight, Valero used a shotgun right jab to the stomach of Pit, and then landed a big straight left to the pit of Pit's stomach which bent him over. Pit tried to throw some big rights before the bell ended round 1, and just missed like two right hands. Valero came out, and then threw the big left and a crushing right hook that dimmed Pit's lights.

Valero is too fast for any of the lightweights, and only J.M.M is the only guy who can compete with Valero at 135. That is a super fight, and I would pick Valero to knock J.M.M out!

The whole card was very good. I'll give you the goods tomorrow. you know I had to big up Valero. What up Jeff lol...

Valero quotes: "If it were up to me, I'd go to 140 and fight the winner of Hatton and Pac, and then come back to 135 and defend my title. Nobody can stand up to my power. I told you that if Pitalua made a mistake, fight over! Out of the lightweight, I'd fight Marquez...he's a little bit better tan the other guys".

What up Nallege, here comes the haters excuses! lol Edwin fought perfect tonight. Pitalua did land a big right hand but Edwin was not bothered by it, just looked like he wanted to kill Pitalua! I agree JMM is the toughest fight for my boy Valero!:rasta

When Valero's time comes to get a shot at Marquez and Pacquiao, both will be retired by then. Good luck chasing retired fighters.:D

Only if he's avoided. Valero with one more fight and Arum will be looking for those matchups. Pac/Valero is the fight Arum wants before too long but doubt he can convince Pac to take that one! I hope so though, before Pac retires cause I think he'll KTFO of Hatton.

What are you talking about? They were going to possibly fight if Pac/ODLH fell through. Arum is not worried about Valero being "too green" but he wants him to fight at least one more time to build his rep in the states. Arum wants Pac/Valero in the near future.

good performance from Valero, showing he can punch at the higher weight, yet to prove he can beat Elite fighters though.

No, I actually remember this story. A couple of years ago, Bob Arum was planning on a Pac-Valero or a Pac-Injin Chi fight to be held in Macau, the Las Vegas of asia. But it didnt push through.

And I did read a news story back then, Valero's manager (Akihiko Honda of TEIKEN Gym, if I'm not mistaken) said that they need a few more fights to be confident of Valero facing top level guys.

Oh, well if it was back when Honda was his manager that explains it. He held back Valero from fighting for the last year but luckily that is settled and he's rid of Honda for good.

If he beats an elite fighter you will claim the fighter was not elite.
