Heres the thing about the p4p. If Hatton wins how the hell are you gonna move Marquez up to #1 when he lost to Pacquaio just last year?? so what do you do?? Pacquaio cant stay at #1 p4p if he loses but he just beat Marquez so how does Marquez become p4p?? I dont think will be, but I would have to give it to him.

 

Yes I do, but Pac is too skilled for Hatton. I expect Hatton to jab more which will be a mistake. Hatton will jab, try to go to the body, and throw the left hook, and Roach knows this. Pac will move to his left, and land a straight left which puts Hatton's lights out.

 

Right, which is why he failed to acknowledge my point about every fighter within 10 pounds of Pacquiao ardently wishing to fight him. It's pretty clear from post-fight interviews and the accounts of other fighters in general that DINAMITA's argument that fighters are avoiding Pacquiao is complete bull****.

And yet he brings up a completely irrelevent argument in the form of Jones/Ottke and Jones/Calzaghe when he himself is unfamiliar with what the potential payouts would've been for those fights.

 

Please don't try to avoid my question with these sorts of tactics.

My whole argument stems from the potential purse of Hatton if he chose to face Mayweather versus his purse against his alternative contenders.

Now if you could provide any evidence that Ottke or Calzaghe would've been making a substantially greater amount fighting Jones versus their opponents back home, then you would have a coherent argument. If not, then you really don't have anything to back your points up.

 

Do your thing, pal. But if I was you I would pick a softer target. He's not the guy you want to argue with.

 

I suppose you could classify Hatton as admirable, but it's not like any other fighter would've rejected a $20 million payday against one of the biggest names in boxing.

And in order to secure that $20 million payday, a lot of fighters are willing to "move heaven and earth", but the reason why the best fighters don't always face each other is because the sticking point is the money, and they're not always guaranteed what they perceive their accepted value is.
