Judging by what fight, cause he couldn't knock out Verno Phillips. Phillps hadn't been stopped in 20 years and that was a premature stoppage.
PW is too much for him...Kirkland is coming to knock you out, but PW has a good chin and excellent workrate...PW UD
Williams by wide UD. He completely schools Kirkland. Willliams would be dropping counter left hands over Kirkland's pawing right jab all night long.
Kirkland by TKO in a war. Williams is getting way too much ****in' cred for KO-ing bums. Kirkland looked excellent against Joel Julio. Williams will be his toughest test. But I think his bulldog pressure and new approach to taking down Williams Paul will be on the backfoot and won't have the power that he normally has. Kirkland will take him down.
If Kirkland can get past Dzinziruk, and do so in impressive fashion, then I would probably pick him to beat Williams. The thing about Williams though is that like Kirkland, he has no punk in him. He's not going to simply wilt under pressure. He's going to keep fighting no matter what. That could be a tough thing for Kirkland to overcome considering Williams' physical advantages.
I think if Kirkland can get that WBO title then he would be ready and willing to fight Williams unlike any other fighters between 147-160 ...
Quintana is a better fighter than Julio and he beat him so don't try to argue. And Kirkland would have a problem with Willliams movement so I can't see Kirkland winning. Williams by TKO 10th round.
