Haters said they would beat Povetkin, but I guess they were wrong again. Vlad will stop Povetkin, but Vitali and Vlad are the very best in the world, way above all the others.

Chambers isnt done yet, but he's gotta trim 20 pounds of fat off his f*cking mid section and fight at Cruiserweight.

Chambers had beaten Povetkin in Jan. 2008, but the gave the decision to Povetkin. Povetkin looks awful in his figth against Estrada, Estrada has no punch, that was good for Povetkin, because he has no defensive.

Wladmir and Vitali both will destroy this fat guy.

    :lol::lol::lol:

Your english is worse than mine, here is the corrected sentence:

"Chambers had been beaten by Povetkin in Jan. 2008, and they gave the decision to Povetkin."

"I outworked Chambers and had greater power than Estrada" is hardly something grand enough to put on a tombstone. "Chambers or Estrada came rather close to outpointing me," is a statement any supposed world-class fighter should be ashamed of.

    Two points here.

    1) neither came close to outpointing him. Each did rather well early on, Povetkin figured them out/woke up, and beat them fair and square.

    2) Eddie chambers has beaten good comp like Domminick Guinn, Calvin Brock, and now Sam Peter. There is no shame in being in a hard fight with the man.

We all have to step back a minute from the heavywieght hate. These guys are obviously not Lewis, Holyfield, Tyson and Bowe, but we have to let them grow in thier own right and appreciate them for what they are.

Have we forgotten Lennox Lewis getting knoced out twice? Joe Louis' being ko'd by Schmeling, or his less than stellar perfomances against bums like Tony Galento? Marciano's questionable victory over Lastarza? Jack Johnson getting knocked cold by Joe Chonyski? Mike Tyson losing to a complete bum named Buster Douglas? Dempsey's lousy fights agaisnt fat Wille Meehan?

These guys are human, and their opponents want to win too.

Why "had been" and not "has been" beaten?

Anyway, I'd say "was beaten" in Jan. 2008 should be correct :)

    Any native english speakers around?

You must have been on drugs or totally drunk while watching Chambers vs Povetkin, mate!!

    Chambers beat Povetkin,eh!!

Povetkin didnt put his best foot forward in his encounter with Estrada, but he defeated him fair and square.

Povetkin is still an undefeated heavy weight fighter whose fight record is quite impressive on paper.
Neither the Klitschkos nor Chagaev nor any other active heavy weight champ has been as toughly matched as Povetkin has been.
He has passed all tests successfully up to now.
I am absolutely positive that he will make the water extremely hot for Wlad.

Povetkin really looked like shitty against Estrada, IMO. If Estrada even had the tiniest amount of pop in his fists, he might have won that fight. He probably outlanded Povetkin in a majority of the rounds, just I kept scoring rounds for Povetkin because he was throwing the only effective punches. So how is Povetkin gonna fare against Wlad, whose jab is just as quick but 20 times as powerful? My guess is that he's gonna turn Povetkin's face into swiss cheese.

Chambers is a top 10 heavyweight, and his career is on the rise, not down the drain. He moved on from his loss to Povetkin, and if there is a rematch he will beat Povetkin.

Or he can lose 15 pounds than gain an extra 7 pounds of muscle. He's doing fine as a heavyweight despite the size disadvantage.

Good points there. I didn't mean to sound like I was completely dogging Chambers and Estrada - just that victories against them don't exactly make one an ATG, especially since even those fighters' haters say they made Povetkin's good skills look ugly. And that was with Chambers pretty much fighting by his corner's malfunctioning remote control.

The "Any Given Sunday" examples you lay out are truth and no opponent should be taken lightly, but that doesn't mean that beating infamous underachievers in your own backyard is something to build a legacy on. I wasn't exactly making the most profound point ever - just trying to be realistic; sorry if that came across as unfair.

I think Farmboxer may be some sort of badly written computer program which spouts out random Klistchko posts, whether they are in any sort of context or not.

But, just to stay on topic (while I'm not exactly sure what the topic is) Chambers is suckish. There should be a Chnabers vs Estrada fight.

I would like to see Povetkin take on a big guy with power, like recent Arreola victim Travis Walker. I would expect Povetkin to win but it would be interesting to see him in against someone with Power.

Chambers and Estrada have some decent wins between them and should remain contenders, who knows maybe they will get another shot.
Estrada's lack of power though will be a problem. Chambers has a little more pop in his punches but has proved to be a fighter that seems to do just a little more than their opponent in order to get the decision, instead of wanting to totally dominate and demoralize his opponent.
