Katsidis was decent this weekend. He still gets hit a lot, he's not very skilled or particularly fast. But he's a good puncher, and while he can be hurt he's got heart.

Pretty much a 50/50 fight, because I think Kat is the sort of guy that Khan could flurry to oblivion between rounds 1-5 and potentially stop even with his lack of power. After 5 or 6 rounds hes in big danger.

3 shots in 5 rounds is not bad, Roach will try getting Khan to improve on that. The sparring Khan has been doing in the Wild card must be working on the inside game, I heard he spared 112 rounds for the MAB fight. I dont see fittness a problem with Khan is one of the hardest trainers in boxing today and I think he has done full 12 two times without problems. Kats might start losing some of his power in the later rounds after Khan makes him miss/follow him around in the later rounds maybe Khan will have time the plant feet and land power shots.

I agree with TFFP. As is the case with any Khan fight, at this level, anyone who has got a bit of a dig goes into the fight as Julian Jackson against Khan. Kats can bang harder then most. He's got heart. The fight sells.

This would be a cracking fight.

The 3 fights I'd like to see Khan in next, in order are -

    1) Murray

    2) Prescott

    3) Katsidis

It's the case of if Khan gets careless in the early rounds, it could be all over. But I think he wont make them mistakes, but thats what makes it fun you dont know whats going to happen.

The early rounds? Try any round. His chin does not get stronger as the fight goes on, and infact he's more likely to get caught when he's overconfident later in the fight, or fatigue sets in and he is easier to get at. If he really has improved I don't think the Prescott scenario will be a regular occurence, I think he'll be more vulnerable later on.

Talking about Khans chin in a discussion about him fighting Michael Katsidis is a bit of a moot point. Katsidis is pretty heavy handed and any lightweight who gets in the ring with him is likely to feel his power at some time or other. If you have a near 80% KO record you have a chance of knocking anyone out.

Katsidis by TKO between rounds 4-7.

Plus Katsidis is a natural LW who is strong at the weight AND is a top 10 fighter at the weight. Khan hasn't faced a fighter like that yet (Prescott wasn't top 10)

I think Khan keeps Katsidis on the end of his jab for the first few rounds, maybe even hurting him but I doubt Khan can keep a good pressure fighter of him for 12 rounds. Sooner or later Katsidis' pressure starts to tell. He gets on the inside, Lands on Khan's jaw, knocks Khan out. :deal

I can only see Katsidis winning this right now. He's got good footwork, punches faster than expected and will work on the inside and the the body - something I'm 100% sure Khan won't be able to deal with.

Khan will control distance early on, but without using Juan Diaz's tactic of turning Katsidis on the inside and keeping him from getting set, Khan will get clipped. It's as sure as the tide of the sea.

Katsidis wins this about round 7 when Khan tires, gets sloppy and takes some hard shots to the body.

No one has fought Katsidis and been able to survive without taking a good dig. Kats is a bad fight for Khan now. He'll war for 12 rounds no problem. I'd be shocked if Frank made this.

If the Valero fight could be made it will be better IMO, Valero also punches hard but is a natural 130 and is 5'6 but now holds the WBC Lightweight belt, this could be a high risk, high reward but winnable fight for Khan.

Winnable my ass. Valero ain't some slow old guy. That guy is suprisingly quick and has killer instinct. He'd know exactly how to deal with a glass jawed fighter - and finish him.

Valero is a quality finisher if nothing else. Domestic level 130 pounders have given Khan trouble, imagine a guy who's fringe world class. He'd **** Khan.

Anyone seen Paulus Moses fight? If so, how would he match up with Khan?

katsidis is made for Khan in every way , except that he can bang

if the fight is in the UK I can imagine Khan getting a stoppage by just throwing and throwing but if Kats nails him I dont see Amir holding it
