With 4+ belts around, sure he can come back;its not like he'd have to dethrone a Holyfield.
He'll win a vacant WBO again at some point, then be Ko'd a few fights later;then it starts again.
That process can go on for a few years yet.
He wont be an undisputed division number 1,but he'll be managed to a few more titles.

I doubt it. He'd have to get more than fortunate to win any title. I mean how much easier is it going to be than Afolabi? That would have more or less put him in the position to get a shot.

I doubt he beats that Ramirez dude. That guy is tough as hell, would walk through Enzo and expose his glass chin.

He ain't beating Adamek, no way no how. Or Guillermo Jones.

I am by no means having a dig , but I read somewhere that Kessler is no fan of sparring and only does it once or so a week.

I don't think its that he's not a fan, he has chronic back problems. I think its a neccessity rather than a choice.

But when he does spar - he spars quality international opponents of his size. How the hell is sparring Bradley Pryce and Kerry Hope going to help a cruiser with world class ambitions.

I should get one thing straight of my chest...

I am a big Enzo fan and have been from his early career. He is also, by all accounts, a down to earth and lovely guy.

However, I don't think he ever was "World Class" or will he ever be. He got a W(arren) BO title shot because of his promoter and although the win against Braithwaithe was impressive it brought him up to a level that he couldn't stay at. He deserves to be in the top 10 but it is a very weak division and the best guys, Ademek, Cunningham, Banks and, possibly, Flores will always be too good for him.

I disagree its weak. It might not have the star names, but it has so many guys that are at or slightly above Enzo's level. It's a very competitive division, especially over here in Europe.

    Adamek
    Cunningham
    Jones
    Banks
    Flores
    Fragomeni
    Kraj
    Frenkel
    Alexeev
    Huck
    Arslan
    Hide
    Mormeck
    Tokarev
    Braithwaite
    Ramirez
    Afolabi!

There are a hell of a lot of good B level fighters, and honestly its tough to see how many of those Enzo beats. I'm not sure which of these names he beats to be honest, its hard to be optimistic for him.

How you think that a Enzo V Braithwaite rematch would go now

Note: Braithwaite is now ranked much higher than Enzo in World Rankings as things stand

It's over for him. You can't be the man at cruiserweight with a china chin. Adamek would bury Enzo.

I don't know...Braithwaite didn't look any better just because he KO'd similarly shaky chinned Hernandez to boost his ranking. He was getting thoroughly outboxed until...BOOM! I would be confident Enzo could outbox him again...but I think his confidence may be shot and he's making stupid defensive errors.

    Toss a coin.

Many of the other good boxer punchers like Kraj, Frenkel, Alexeev etc would KO him IMO. So would pressure fighters like Mormeck, Fragomeni and Ramirez.

I know Nathan King sparred Kessler in the run-up to the Calzaghe fight.

Don't know if he fits your description though.

I think he has a weak chin rather than a china one. Probably about on par with David Haye and certainly not of the Amir Khan variety.

He can definitely win another version of the world title. I, contrary to most of the opinion on here, think that the the cruiserweight division is actually quite weak so it would take him no time at all to get back into contention. It's all about getting the right matches. If he gets a rematch with Afolabi and wins (which I'm certain he would) all of a sudden he's right back in the mix.

As a side note, Calzaghe hardly did any sparring in his latter days. He would only pick it up when the fight was a matter of weeks away. So it's really down to the individual and what works for them.

He could still have chance mainly because he can bang. It's always going to be a KO the other guy before he gets Koed scenario for him. However that knockout was more down to leaving his chin in the air than anything. How did he not see that right hand coming? It came from the back of the hall!

    Carl Thompson would've killed Enzo.
