So his P4P status and his ability, skill and all have nothing to do with him being overhyped? ok. How about this, he's a much bigger draw then Mayweather....yet we saw what happened when the two of them actually boxed eachother. If one fighter is so much better then another, yet can't sell neary as much tickets...then the other guy is overhyped. If you don't like the meaning of "over-hyped" don't use the word, i don't really care  It means to promote or publisize to excess. Hatton is overhyped, end of story.

But it was coming off those fights and leading up to them that he was being so hyped. He's definitely not "over hyped" anymore, you barely hear anything about him now.

NOt so much now but KEssler used to be hyped like crazy for a guy who hasnt much.. Stylewise wise, he's a basic fighter with nothing special in his arsenal.. A good fighter but not special.... His hype nauseated me..

And Gamboa.. I dont buy his hype.

Fair point, maybe im being over critical, but the hype machine is starting again now he is starting fresh up at super middleweight and fighting Froch.

Pacquiao !! although accomplished, he's a little overrated, his best wins were against guys who were past their best days.

Dawson is overated because people were saying he deserved to fight Calzaghe and that he'd beat him, when all he has done is struggle and in my eyes lose to Johnson, beat an old Tarver and beat Adamek who was weight drained at the time.

jump back in again and then im off..

his skill and ability are not in question in my view,he has masses of both.

maybe the issue is with your fellow countrymen with regards to tickets, support your fighters its that simple!

but please dont patronise me with regards to my recognition of skills, maybe hatton isnt as skilfull as mayweather, who is?the loss to floyd really doesnt diminish hatton in my book it enhances him simply because of what hes done since,we'l see if hes overhyped on the 2nd.

I would think so many people would say Valero, I've seen a lot of hate on him with people saying he's overhyped.

he's not themost marketable fighter because of hype, it's because he's usually exciting to watch, doesn't take a backward step and always comes to fight.

he didn't lose every round, but was clearly beaten. but how many fighters retire undefeated? if you're going to lose your unbeaten record there's no shame in losing it to the p4p #1. the ref did have an impact on the fight, that's undeniable, but not the end result.
