Peter own both of your heros Toney and Maskaev. The same Peter that was owned badly by Vitali. :)

I've no problem with the rematch clause, any long-standing champion has a right to put that into any fight and rightfully so. But this 3-fight deal is something else.

It could end up that Haye fights Wlad-Vitali and then Wlad again, thats not exactly a voluntary rematch clause.

What if, and again im only saying if, Haye beats Wlad for the titles, then the IBF enforce the Povetkin mandatory on Haye so he has to give up the title to fight say Vitali as it says in the contract.

Wlad could then fight Povetkin for the IBF whilst Haye fights Vitali, and if they both win leaving Haye rematching Wlad for the title he won off him in the first place ?

    Madness.

Wlad could very well smoke Haye in the first fight and all this 3 fight nonsense can go to bed. But if it turns out that Haye wins, Haye will then be the champion so would have the right to negotiate a better deal for himself but this 3-fight combination contract prevents that.

    Safety first that tells me.

The 3 match clause gives Haye a chance to prove that he's the man at HW, it also gives him a chance to prove one win isn't a fluke.

what you don't understand is that if Haye beats Wlad and faces Vitali it will be for The Ring Magazine belt as they would be ranked #1 and #2. It would also be for THE Heavyweight Championship of the world. Those trinket belts don't mean ****. Vitali vs Haye would be for all the marbles regardless if the IBF or WBO strips Haye.

    Do you understand this?

Again if Haye ko Wlad and then Vitali then Haye will easily be the man at the heavyweight division. What part don't you understand? Title belts these days are pointless. And Haye Face Wlad again for the title then it be for the unify titles instead of 1. But again title belts these days are pointless.

Exactly. Most people that don't like this contracts are not thinking clearly.

who gives a **** Jack? Those belts would be as worthless as James Toney's IBA belt he parades around with.

Did the IBF or WBA belt mean anything after Lennox Lewis dropped them? Hell no they were paper belts and EVERYONE with a brain knew it.

Lennox Lewis was THE Heavyweight Champion not trinket holders in Byrd or Ruiz.

    :hi:

Yes, they may have realised there is much money to be made from three bouts with Haye. However, the more pressing issue is that both Vitali & Wladamir realise how dangerous Haye is to them!

I don't care what anyone says, but stipulating that a guy must box you three times is not the actions of a man who has total confidence in his ability to win. A rematch clause is one, but the contract Haye has had to sing is ridiculous!

Apparently Haye is only getting money from Setanta for the bout! Can anyone clarify this? If this is accurate, then the Klitscho's are wankers!

I hope Haye sparks these guys out! I'm going to put a bet on to say Haye wins three out of three!

Another Post of the Year. The Klit-Fanboys get hurt and have a little baby cow if you dont hang off of the tiny nutsack of the Klit Bros. Haye was essentially BLACKBALLED into signing away his next 3-4 fights with the Frankenstein Brothers, simply because they dont want to lose the Monopoly they already have on the belts.

I don't know. It is business and Haye obviously did not have a problem with it because he finally signed the contract.

People are putting the cart before the horse here because Haye has to win for any of this to matter. If he wins, we will go from there.

IF he wins, as a Titleholder, he should be FREE to face the person of his choice, or at least his mandatory, and not be dictated to by the lawyers of the Klits into facing Wlad, Vitali or one of their uncles for the next 4 years.

So you don't want see a real Heavyweight Champion then? Because if Haye wins a fight with Vitali would be for THE Heavyweight Championship of the World. Not some trinket belts.

This process IF Haye wins gives us a legit Heavyweight Champion.
