No. You completely overstated their weaknesses, underplayed their strengths and also tried to change the argument by claiming that they are the most overhyped fighters on ESB. The thread is not about the most overhyped fighter on ESB, but the most overhyped fighter period. There is a world outside of this forum.
It;s post like this as to why people here can't take you serious. Nearly Koed? When was Dawson dropped in that fight? The man might have been hurt but he wasn't nearly koed not even close. Stop with the bull****.:-(
You never actually provided any evidence of why he's overrated though. I've been on Lopez's train since long before he won a title, and on a pure tools basis, he's as talented as anyone out there, period. On top of that, considering that Marquez and Vasquez are probably relatively shot after their wars, injuries and long layoffs, and considering that neither one has the best chin in the world, and considering that Lopez has great power for a super bantamweight, it doesn't seem like a stretch to say that he could put either one on their ass. This guy doesn't get hype from ESB in general, but there's a loud contingent who seem intent on hyping up Adrian Diaconu, who seems to me is nothing special at all. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes life and death with Jean Pascal, who's only a C+ fighter at 168.
Carl Froch gets underhyped in my opinion. I think he's a much better fighter than given credit for. Froch seems to be the only one that overhypes Froch.
I spose the definition of being overhyped is having a certain amount of hype but not living upto it/ justifying the hype. So really fighters like Juanma and Valero shouldnt fall inside this debate as they are both undefeated so have some justified hype. Being overhyped is having a certain amount of hype then not justifying it by getting outboxed/ KO'd. So its more of a past tense thing. Margarito was overhyped, (mainly by the Fox, what happened to that guy?) Sam Peter was overhyped. To a lesser extent Juan Diaz was overhyped...Nate said something along the lines of 'before he fought me evry1 thought he was a god' So really if the discussion is about undefeated champions, contenders and prospects who are being hyped...the name of the thread should be 'WHICH UNDEFEATED FIGHTERS ARE GONNA CRASH AND BURN FROM THEIR UNREALISTIC HYPE'
to be honest i think both klitchko brothers are overhyped ive said before they only seem good because of the terrible state of the heavyweight divsion.I sure ill get a lot of stick for this
How can anyone say Haye? Kos at cruiser vs Fragomeni(wbc champ) Mormeck in his home town, and Enzothe dudes barely had 20 fights!!!! It took Calzaghe 40+ fights to face a decent fighter! lol
Chris Arreola has to be up there. The yanks are desperate for a HW champ and as the best of a bad bunch he's getting a sick amount of hype.
please tell us what your scorecard was. Watching him against Tarver and Adamek should have shown you how good of a boxer he is, dumbass. All three were ranked LHWs. You're underrating him.
Are you ****ing high? 90% of pretty much every reply comment in threads about Arreola are people calling him fat and talentless. And pretty much all boxing writers and commentators are stating that Arreola has absolutley no chance of winning a heavyweight title from any of the current title holders. Overhyped? Definitely not Arreola. :verysad
