Finally got to spar seriously and got put in with the guy i got into a fight using the pads with before. i fought in orthodox position and threw some jabs and a few hooks to his head and then threw a load of big body shots and although not many of them landed his right arm got hurt and cos he could only fight at southpaw he had to drop his guard so i switched to southpaw and jabbed continuously with a few left hooks and a cheeky right uppercut. it was a good fight and we were both laughing after it how i gave him a dead arm and how i couldnt laugh cos i left myself open to a few big body shots. Not too bad, im finding my rythym and i feel in a few months ill be in my first fight

It's a learning experience mate, no point going in and waging war on each other, 1. its pointless 2. it puts people off boxing that don't want that. Pleased you enjoyed it though! thats the main thing, hope your fight goes good.

so while you were working the pads, he threw low blows.?

what the hell kind of gym are you attending. I dont, for 1 sec believe, that anyone in a sain gym, deliberately would throw low blows, while training pad-work.

further more, the pad-work is normally done by trainers. So while your up close, they will be watching your moves, enabling them to adjust the mistakes your making.

and guess what, when doing this exercise, you hit the pads, you dont aim for his balls.

red dragon, is do not believe your telling the truth. In general your posts lack credibility.

Exactly! you hit the pads and thats why i had a problem with this guy!

now you can believe what ive said or not i couldnt rly give a **** but i got to spar and properly get into a sport ive loved since i was a lad and i rly enjoyed fighting.
And yeah i have done pad work with my trainer but the things is when you got 30 odd lads in the gym its kinda hard to do pad work with every single one of them at the same time dont ya think? Thats why we help each other out and this lad was a little bit rough and ignorant and usually gets told by the trainers to hit the targets properly.

Like i said before, believe what you want to believe cos i know what happened. Why the hell would i post it up here if it wernt true?

well....... i have to say that after nearly 2 decades in the gym i cant think of one time any pad holder took a shot at my nuts!....and ive had some pretty bad pad holders along the way lmao:rofl

Ive had some over zealous pad holders who think clipping you around the ears or around the body is good fun if you drop your guard after punching ....but cracking a bloke on the nuts is the funniest/strangest thing that i ever heard about a pad holder!!:silly:yep
