Paul "The Punisher" WILLIAMS wins dominating decision over Ronald "Winky" WRIGHT

I hate to go against Winky, but I've got the feeling this is gonna be a close fight that Williams will probably nick on workrate.

Williams will throw a lot more punches, land a few more, but Winky will land the more eye-catching blows.

I can see people arguing about the decision after the fight is over.

Saying all that it wouldn't surprise me if Winky won this wide, but my gut says Williams (the up-and-comer) squeeks home.

 

I don't think either guy is getting stopped.....Wright won't have his usual size advanatges, Williams will hit only gloves.....Williams UD via workrate in a fairly unexciting fight (due to Winky's pillows rather than Williams)

I genuinely think, and I ain't kiddin', that P-Dub will win every round. Williams is all wrong for Winky.

 

Very much my reading of this fight too.

 

More or less my thoughts, although I think it will be quite close.

 

Williams UD for me, he is just the younger and fresher of the two.

 

I really don't ****ing know and its doing my head in, its been a long long time since I can't get a fight through my head and make a prediction.

I'll decide ten minutes before the fight.

 

This is it. Paul's coming out fight or going nowhere. Winky is a durable guy with two impressive winngest against a guy he's mentally beaten since they where amateurs (Mosley) and a paid day seeking Trindad, that stiil can't break Don King's fight contract. The Vargas fight was close, but Vargas was never a true world class fighter.

If Williams is a self-seeking missile that hopes to rearrange boxing history, here it is.

I think Winky's age and lack of activity plays right into Williams' hands. Paul will be too busy, too fast and too sharp. Definitely the wrong type of opponent to come back against after a 2 year lay off.

Williams should win a decision on workrate if not anything else.Winky is done.Not past his prime but done.I hope he doesn't get KO'd.

I agree.... Vargas is just a glorified club fighter who just happened to be an olympian, world champion and beat Yori Boy Campus, Winky Wright, Ike Quartey, nearly beat Mosley, floor trinidad and score various othr world class victories. Well done mate. In future post here.
