great job but i think how the leaderboard is set should be reviewed,it looks like at the moment its done on correct predictions?whoever has the most is top well for the majority of it,but shouldn't percentage of fights predicted to correct ones count for something or at least abit more?because people joining late will never have a chance to win.
Well consider Freddy and Pimp C...they don't have anywhere near the number of fights as some of the other guys and yet they're in the upper echleons of the list. Overtime it'll build. As long as you keep coming up strong. I mean. If you can keep your record clean as a whistle for at least 16 fights and have a nice KO rating along with it...Im sure you'd crack the top of the list somewhere. There are people with less fights than Beeston and Jeff M and yet they have climbed much higher because of their percentages. It is encouraged to join early because of this advantage of a "padded" record, but joining late also encourages new participants to continue participating in next year's calendar.
:conf It's up to Kirk. But this has inspired me to create my own predictions league that will sort of mix the rules of this league and Rummy's league, create some interesting point systems and bonus point systems that allow some NEW strategy :think:hey...I've been fiddling with it for awhile. But I'll start it next year :thumbsup

Williams vs. Winky! Place your picks... Word of advice...PICK WINKY! ...you'll thank me for it later :deal Side Notes: Williams toughest fight was against some slick like Quintana. Williams doesnt use his reach. Defensive fighters like Winky and B-Hop don't age. Defensive fighters work best against busy fighters like Williams. Winky's recent lack of "success" came from top level opposition. Williams hype came from a fluke KO and 2 tomato cans. Williams has shown he can be overconfident (another rusty fighter in WW)
Change my pick to Balzsay TKO please! , I think you could and probably will be right about Wright... but I want Williams to win bad and I have a feeling he will... so I am sticking with my pick
I'm absolutely ready to pick Winky as his only legit loss in a decade is a close one vs. Hopkins at the weight Pavlik got totally embarrassed, outclassed, whipped, schooled, destroyed. Winky slightly outlanded Hopkins. It's very tough, as a top Winky would absolutely school Williams still getting a close ud since judges like ineffective aggressiveness better than effective but economical punching. Now with Winky being out of the ring for almost 2 years, coming down in weight, having these recent injuries and being 37, I don't know if under these circumstances he can pull a Hopkins. Williams is a better fighter than Pavlik (that doesn't mean he would beat Pavlik) and punches from all angles firing dozens of shots per minute. So I'm waiting for the official weigh-in and take a look at their physical condition, last words etc. BTW, what's the OFFICIAL deadline of the picks? 12:00AM EST? That's would be the best.
