i dont think theres anything wrong with this fight it seems as though pav-abraham is pretty set for nov 7th, in the meantime abraham is fighting a can in lorenzo so pav is picking up a stay busy fight with mora theres nothing wrong with just staying busy while king aurthur handles his mandatory tomato can

Agreed. As long as Pavlik Abraham gets made I don't care who they fight in the meantime. This also allows some buildup, which will help the fight.

i think he was referring to the big suprize undercard. you never know arum might load the undercard with top rank vs golden boy fights.

Arum said he wants to show Abraham/Lorenzo on tape delay right before Pavlik/Mora. That's a great idea. Kelly and Arthur should both come away looking like monsters in the eyes of the average fan.

However, it could back fire. If AA has as much trouble with Lorenzo as he had with Simon, that would not be good. Mora could run, and stall, and spoil, and fiddle-**** his way through 12 rounds, and that would be bad news also. As long as KP and AA come in and take care of business in quick and brutal fashion, showing both fights is a great idea.

Problem is, the "average fan" won't be watching this as it is on PPV. If he was trying to appeal to the "average fan" he would have set it up to be on some variety of non-PPV.

this wouldve been much better than klitschko-gomez for espn to hook on to and make a whole night of boxing on regular cableshow the undercard too that wouldve been awesome not like anyone wants to watch nba basketball, that **** sucks.

Too bad the average fan won't see it. What kind of buy rate do you think that PPV will have outside of Ohio? They'll probably make more selling the PPV overseas than here in the US.

Not sure what to make of this, Other than the Pavlik camp banking in on one more PPV payday.

Mora basically has zero chance of beating a Pavlik on paper.
That's the thing with this fight tho, It's in the ring.

Mora has that style which can make the most aggressive fighter fall asleep...
To say Sergio will get blown out by Pavlik is gonna defo be the safe bet, But
considering the type of fight's Kell's has been in latley, I'm not to sure.
(Mora likes to wrap his opponents up and smother them)

    I say Kelly K.O.'s Mora
But I would not be suprised to watch this go the distance in a very boring & dull fight.
#!*@ PPV, this is ESPN status.

ESPN or Versus should have stepped in and bought this fight. To me it seems like if Adamek and others can fight on Versus they should be able to work something out on this fight. Team Pavlik and Top Rank should look at this as an opportunity to get KP more exposure, and to hell with the money. I think that would pay off in the long run.

Mora could stink the joint up, but I doubt if he is strong enough to tie Pavlik up. He is not fast enough to stay away from him, and he has nothing in his arsenal to keep Pav off of him.

This will be the first and last time I ever root for Mora. This fight is a slap in the face to fans everywhere, and Pavlik should have refused.

He refuses then what??? He doesn't fight til November? He goes out makes money, takes care of business and stays busy then he fights the next best MW in the world in the fall!! So what's wrong with that? As far as TV goes HBO and Showtime don't want it and ESPN (in my opinion) won't pony up the kind of cash it will take, so Arum brings it to AC and throws a good undercard together w/ Abraham on the PPv end doesn't sound horrible-I'll see ya in AC!
