I honestly don't think i have seen a single news article or indication of Winky Wrights physical condition in the last 12 months. All i can remember is seeing him ringside at a fight and i can't even remember how he looked in terms of size and condition. Have there been any press releases about his training camp? Anyone got insider knowledge? :think

Seems funny that the fight is so close and to my knowledge, we really have no idea what sort of shape he has kept himself in over the period of his layoff and how his training camp has gone.

Facts aside, what do you expect from Winky, in terms of physical conditioning, based on his attitude shown throughout his career?

I've seen him on TV a few times since his last fight and he didn't look like he ballooned up at all. I'd say he walks around at 170-180.

That being said, his legs didn't look so good last fight. I worry that he just doesn't have what it takes to pull this one off whereas in his prime he would probably win this.

Nobody knows, hence no round props available for this fight. Also, no line was available until last week. Amazing for a fight of this magnitude.

The line has been up for a while, and Williams was available at -180 when it first opened. I wrote an article about the possible lines for this fight. I expect that the over/under will be set similar to over 10.5, -250, under +210, depending on the juice your book is charging.

I also can speculate that Williams ITD will be around +175ish and via points at around even money. Wright via points should be around 3/1, with Wright via KO... that's a tough one. They probably will have to offer at least +600 to get any action imo.

No problem. Williams is currently a -200 favorite, so you would have to bet $200 dollars to win $100. Wright is a +160 underdog, so a $100 dollar bet would win $160. They also set the round total like an over/under would be for a football game. For example, a fight with a line of over 10.5 would have to go past 1:30 seconds in round number 11, since the fight has went past 10.5 full rounds of boxing.

ITD stands for inside the distance, or basically a knockout stoppage of the bout. They also offer props where you can select a fighter to win via a decision. This wager only wins if the fighter you select wins by that manner.

i saw some video clips from winky's camp and several photos. i have been surprised how good he looks and how quick his hands appear. i mean, beating bags and mitts is not the same thing as hitting a live target...heck, gatti looked like thunder and lightning in camp before the mayweather fight. however, winky looks good, sharp, strong, quick to me...like he's got a real shot.

when winky fought jermain taylor at middleweight, i definitely thought he looked a bit inflated and over-muscled...a bit uncomfortable. i think that hurt him in that fight...he just didn't have the flexibility in his arms to get his punches at the right angles to operate in his usual style...not to take anything away from jermain. winky definitely looks as though the 160 settles more flexibly and naturally over his frame now.

word is he has been supremely focused in camp, not that he is ever known to slack or be distracted, and he has had nothing like a training injury of any sort, so i expect a good, close fight that i have no idea how to call when he meets williams.

If he hasn't slipped he should be able to pull it off but I'm gonna doubt it since it's been damn near 2 years since he last fought.

He won't be active enough and will lose a decision.

I'm very interested in seeing what type of condition Winky is in. I might even make my pick for Winky if he comes in at top shape.
