I just finished Herbie Hide's new autobiography last week, and in it, he mentioned stopping by Samuel Peter's camp for I believe the Vitali fight, and he said that Tye Fields was whooping Peter's ass in sparring. This doesn't seem right to me at all. No video proof either. Is this true, or is this more Hide B.S.?

I dont think he has any reason to lie, and sparring is sparring, it would be a very different world if it was a proper fight.

True enough on both fronts. Lying about this wouldn't benefit Hide in any way, so there is no reason to. And sparring is very different from the real thing. But still, this seems strange to me all the same.

If the Peter camp got Tye Fields as a sparring partner for Peter to prepare for Vitali, no wonder Peter got whupped so badly.

Nice man, nice. What kind of curry (i.e. color)? I've been ok. Just trying to survive life. I have been experimenting with different kinds of shrimp lately. Good stuff.

Red curry is my favorite. Paste if possible, but powder works too, especially if it is from a specialty spice shop.

If it's bs, then it's a pretty bizarre statement from Hide. If it's not, then Peter needs a new camp something fierce. Weird either way. :huh

Yum... Lent gets a lot tougher when I smell good curry...

I'm Russian Orthodox, though, so I've got an extra week to wait and we're meat-free all week, then there's the days where you can't have fish or use oil to cook, and then... yeah, it goes on and on.

    And? Who is Peter?

Basically Peter is considerably short relative to Tye, has no headmovement, no jab, and is basically just a walking target, so hell yeah I believe Tye probably got the best of Sam Peter.

    But what does that mean?

    Let's see... that makes it:
Tye Fields > Sam Peter > James Toney > Evander Holyfield > Hasim Rahman > Lennox Lewis > Andrew Golata > "Young" Joe Louis

There you go. Tye Fields beats Joe Louis. Ok, so it's not THE Joe Louis, but it's A Joe Louis.
