i dont understand why you'd start this post.

he isnt fighting at the top level yet - and i doubt frank will encourage it.

Khan's best opportunity at a world title was against Gavin Rees. Frank should have paid the stand aside money to Kotelnik.
There's a vacant/interim WBO title coming soon!!! perhaps.

    forget titles...

rees' title was fortuitous and a paper belt anyway.

i expect khan's career will be extended significantly by soft matchmaking. he's a big attraction in the united kingdom, where hometown fighters can make a terrific amount of money (and make even more for their promoters) fighting bums, hobos, tomato cans and the occasional nobody. i am not casting judgments about fight fans in the uk. i used to live there, in banbury, and i miss the fanatical way that they get around their fighters over there. i just mean, khan gains very little monetary value if he fights top guys. he is as profitable as he will ever be beating up on competition where there is an angle, always, in his favor. accordingly, i doubt the boat will be taken to deep waters any time soon.

i expect khan to retire around 30-ish having really faced no one that approaches the world class level who is natural to 135-140. khan will fight and beat the past it barrera again and then use those fights to justify a two-year celebration period of banging around local journeyman for big paydays and maybe picking up an alphabet strap through some questionable sanctioning body black magic.

however, look at enzo macca...even in shallow, hometown waters, a guy with a dodgy chin can get smashed and ruined.

His career will be very reminiscent of Herbie Hides. He still fights, he is winning, but who the hell cares?

It was a hell of a win. Perfect tactics. Perfect execution.

You won't find a bigger Marco fan than me anywhere, but he should be concentrating on his family life rather than fighting now. Nothing left to prove.
