Official David Haye excuse day. I can't wait to hear all of the excuses that the Haye fans, and Wlad haters come up with in order to try and discredit his upcoming victory over David Haye.

Credit to both fighters for making this fight happen. Hopefully afterwards the winner can get credit for his win. If David Haye should happen to win (which he won't)... then I would be prepared to give Haye full credit. I would hope that all of the Wlad critics out there are prepared to give him major credit as well.

    "No excuses, but...."

It can't be avoided, either way.

"Well, I had to move my camp 3 weeks out from the fight. I did what I could do with 2 severely broken hands and moderate case of pneumonia. I admit that I probably shouldn't have started chemo treatments mid-training camp, but contracting the bird flu made it nearly impossible to fight off this pancreatic cancer. But hey, I take nothing away from this guy. I have no excuses and he's a great champion."

For a guy that talks as much as Haye does you would think he would not have a Glass Jaw with all the exercise his mandible gets.:rofl

If Wlad wins a close competitive fight there should be a rematch since he has Haye signing a crazy contract.

A crazy contract? Haye gets a shot at Wlad and then a rematch. Very normal. The only thing different is that Haye will then get to fight Vitali and get a chance at his WBC title, the ring magazine title, and the title of undisputed Champion as well. This is a dream contract for Haye, and it's exactly what Haye has been saying that he wanted.

    Indeed.

"I give Wlad/Haye full credit, but that fight proved nothing" - that will be what we hear a lot of.

Nah man! There won't be any excues. Wald should win and if he does it will be b/c Wald is #1 a natrual HW, #2 Larger, #3 Proven and #4 Stronger. Haye may be a little faster and a little more offesively diversified but Haye's main chance will be his power....if he can land and put Wald down and out. It's a chance....but in my opinion not a very good one. We shall see.

why would there be excuses. if klitschko can't knock out a cruiserweight with a glass jaw then he will go down as the biggest fraud in heavyweight history.

    I'll beat them to it:

"Haye was just a blown-up Cruiserweight with a weak chin."

    and/or

"Unfortunately for him, he may have fared better if he didn't go straight for the champion on just his 3rd fight ever at HW. He'll be back. He just needs more experience at this weight."
