Walcott vs Wlad K?

I'll go with Wlad here.

He doesn't give you a whole lot to work with, with that style. He potshots from the outside and doesn't leave much opportunity for counters.
Walcott won't put much pressure on Wlad - one of the things I believe Wlad can be susceptible to.
Walcott will be sliding and shifiting and probably avoiding a good deal of what comes his way, but aside from a few sneaky counters (most of which won't land, or land flush) I don't see him doing a whole lot.

Wlad on points in what most likely would be a terribly boring fight.

 

Walcott is just the way classier fighter, I don't think Wlad has quite the power to take him out of there and he won't be outboxing him over 12 or 15.

 

This a toss up for me maybe Walcott, especially if Wlad fought like he has recently. Walcott via close UD.

 

You make some good points, but i really have to disagree here. Even in his prime, i don't think Louis' jab was as good as Wlad's. Well, maybe in a p4p sense, but coming from the 6'6 frame with that much speed, timing and consistency is hard to beat.

 

How many rematch clauses does Walcott have to sign up for to secure the fight?

 

The more rematch clauses, the better off Walcott will be. It did afterall take in some 4 attempts to win a world title.

 

I dont think these rematch clauses help you if you are the challenger.

 

Well, rematches are something that Jersey sure got enough of when he was challenging for a title. The difference between yesterday and today however is that now he'd have a slew of multiple titlists to challenge. I fear he may have to take a turn at all of them before finally getting some sort of a strap.

 

Well considering he WON the world title in first attempt, but got it taken away from him, I think thats a good trade off.

 

Walcott would have made an exciting cruiserweight-alpha titlist today.

 

cruiserweight? Sure he would dominate Maghoo. But I honestly believe Every heavyweight not named Wlad would get defeated by Walcott easily, and that includes a shopworn 38 year old vitali. I do believe walcott would step in the ring heavier if he were fighting today. Remember chris bryd is a natural 195lber who bulks himself up to 212lb for fights.
