Ding's always got lighting in a bottle, but I'd say Huck.

This fight fits perfectly with Ding's style.

Ding has a good chance to upset an completetly overrated hype job,eh??!!

By the way didnt Huck beat Tokarev quite convincingly about one year ago? And didnt the same Tokarev beat Ding quite easily when they squared off against each other in the ring a couple of years ago?

Ding has a puncher's chance, but I wouldnt bet much money on him. He is the underdog against Huck.Thats for sure!

I'm all for it- he's as good an opponent as they're going to find this close to the fight date

Hey Odo, I know you've got a pretty good grasp of the German scene- how's Huck looked lately? I haven't caught any of his fights since Cunningham stopped him. Has he shown any improvement since then?

You're actually right. Huck is right there in front and straight up, susceptible to a big right hand, Ding's single weapon. Still though, I don't think it's enough. Styles alone won't dictate the outcome here. Huck incorporates more movement in this fight and outworks Ding for the UD.

It's not. It was taken a few days before the Arslan fight in May 2008.

Ding and Huck won't fight anyway due to the simple fact that Huck will defend his European title at that event and Ding is American.

He might have a chance to face Enad Licina or Alexander Frenkel, though.
I would like to see him against the latter.

I think Wilson's time has come and gone....he would have to maybe start over again and beat some fighters his own status now before being given a shot at a contender... but I would not blame him one bit for advocatiing for himslef to get title or European title shots..the age of the interactive internet forums brings an influence into matchmaking these days even if it is a small influence.... i have read so much stuff on the internet about fighters who seem to be the read deal only to see that thye have been knocked out...it used to be that the only way to get exposure was by magazine articles so the selection of exposure was relegated to sure fire prospects compared to today......

He seems to have improved a little bit,but you never know for sure which version of Huck will turn up for a fight.
He is a strong and powerful boxer, but his flaws and numerous weak spots will be his downfall. He will find his match quite a few times in the ring. However,I dont think that Ding will be the one to beat him.
Feather fisted Arslan easily outpointed him,Tokarev beat Ding as well.
Ding would be the huge underdog against Huck.Thats for sure!
Nevertheless,Ding is still good enough to beat some of the pretenders out there.
Huck's stable mate Licina and Frenkel will also appear on Huck's undercard.
I,like our fellow poster Chillman, would like to see Frenkel duke it out Ding.
Licina would be too much for Ding, but Frenkel still has to nail his true colours to the mast.He has been hyped by the media, a certain section of us fight fans, and some experts quite a lot within the last couple of weeks.
Ding is a teak tough cookie.Interesting to watch whether Frenkel can take Ding's shots or not!
