Ya'll on this Dirrell **** need to step back and wipe the sweat off your head and turn down the heater because ya'll might be loosin some brain cells.

If you wanna hype a mother ****er as bein the next successor to the throne of 168, it's WARD.

    **** it...

I'll call it right here, he has one question, his chin, but that ain't enough.

    WARD is the TRUTH

    And?

    Gold medal...Check

    Full offensive arsenal...Check

    Solid defense...Check

    Versatility...Check

    Adaptability...Check

    Chin...?

That sounds like a future champ to me considering he's only had a flash knockdown and that ain't ****. You can recover from that, especially if you got the skills to back it up.

The kid is smooth and he has pop. He's a good fighter and I think he'll be the next best thing at 168 since Calzaghe and that's sayin A LOT.

Reading your commentaries, I'll say that you're unable, blinded by your love for some boxers, to aknowledge the other boxers qualities. Dirrell has a lot of talent, Bute also is a gifted boxer. It's about 50/50. Until you're honest about that, you're a sorry excuse for a boxing fan.:patsch

The same thing was said about Jones before he fought Toney, or Mayweather before he fought Hernandez, or Hatton before he fought Tszyu, or Mosley before Oscar..The list goes on and on...Most of the time talent wins out. Not all the time, some times fighters are put in too high too fast. Here is the thing, you have people cring that he isnt ready to fight Bute then cry because he isnt stepping up his comp...I real the FEAR coming from the Bute fans.

In order for that to happen, Dirrell has to stop fighting in the play pin and starting fighting men. Dirrell has not faced anyone to prepare him for Bute.

Big difference all of these guy were below 25 years or younger derrll is 26 now and still has not fought anyone of significants. Rjj had ad-least had faced hopkins and Tate before facing Tony . Shane Ruled the 135 class with a iron fist, and Floyd was phenom talent for his age, and Rick was tested against top fighters that were past their prime but he was still tested.. Im not sure whats going on with dirrell .

Bute would litteraly beat teh **** out of Dirrle.

just a superior fighter. looking at the andrade fight bute put on a master piect untill that pressure finally wore him out. Dirrle doesn't put on that kind of pressure.

Kessler beats the **** out of bute and destroys Dirrell.

i like dirrle but he needs to wait and catch these guy's on the slide he should learn from Kessler mistake with Joe Calzaghe

    Kessler is an excellent fighter.

Bute is very good fighter though, no doubt about it.

What does age have to do with anything??? This is Dirrells fourth year as a pro..It was Jones' four year as a pro when he fought Hopkins and his fifth year when he fought Toney.. Roy was actaully 25 when he fought toney.

Plus Im not really seeing the point of your argument??? Dirrell is trying to get a fight with Bute, what is there to complain about...No he isnt on a Floyd Mayweather pace, but Floyd gets no credit for the things that he did anyways.

Dirrell is not trying to get a fght with Bute, unless I have missed something. Ward called Bute out, just before signing for a fight against Miranda. Not Dirrell. I'm not sure Dirrell's promoter want a shot at Bute.

You're right saying there is always a moment where a fighter is able to become a champion even if people don't recognize it. But there are many more examples of fighters who haven't succeeded when they tried to reach the higher level. We won't know how good is Dirrell until he steps up.

That true about mayweather, but Dirrell comp has not seem to have gone up at all but rather stayed flatlined the only blip that it has shown is Anthony Henshaw, which was impressive then nothing after that. I though for sure after Henshaw there would be bigger and better thing for Dirrell. Dirrell career is so under the radar I forget that he is still fighting at times, and with his talent I just don't see how that can be, Keep in mind Im from Oakland.
