morales had been in bunch of tough fights when he was younger that is why he was past his prime by the time he was 30. Hatton hasn't had many tough fights like morales did. It's funny how he can be washed up but still stay unbeaten at 140:lol:

laugh all you want about paulie malignaggi but if im not mistaken wasn't he the favorite against hatton? Many thought that his speed and slick boxing would be too much for hatton:lol:

I basically saw a draw in the 2nd fight but if I give a few more swing rounds to Pac (which is reasonable) he wins by 2 points or so, but the judges also saw a KD and blood and it influences them sometimes. It's just the way it is. :rasta

My P4P list is reflective of recent events. Recently, Cotto was destroyed by a not so multi-dimensional fighter, and then got a routine victory over an over matched opponent. There are more deserving fighters at the minute, in my estimation, but Miguel will bounce back into teh top 10 because I believe he is a very good fighter indeed. No disrespect intended, not need to slap your head, Fleaman.

JMM beat barrera despite being KDed, he beat casamayor and he beat juan diaz but his career defining fights were a draw and a lose against pac.

i seem to remember having this convo recently too - about the quartet - and where they rank

    i voted

    1. EM
    2. JMM
    3. MP
    4. MAB

But the truth is you could have that in ANY order and have legit reasons for doin so. I voted this way because - after lengthy consideration of the vast number of intangibles - i voted my favourites first. And y'all would do the same....

IMO Barrera should be 2nd. Morales never had a 'defining' win, Barrera was the only man to beat Naz. Both their careers are heightened by the fights they had with each other, but the way it's going I wouldn't be surprised if Marquez surpasses El Terrible as well.

Same to you my friend, but I'm sure you knew that anyway! At work this time at the morning makes Fleaman a very cynical ******* :D

Too have Marco at the bottom of the list is to be completely oblivious to his career, in my opinion.

in previous posts, i would have had no problem scoring the fight for jmm via split. i think a unanimous decision in favor or jmm or pac would have been a robbery. and it was not just one KD. it was actually 2, one in the 3rd and one in the 10th where jmm was wobbled by an overhead right and jmm ended up holding on the ropes.

having seen it up close, it would be difficult for the judges to disregard the aggression and the 2 KDs scored by pac in different rounds. and its just the way it is.

Its not that hard to do if the quality of opposition aint there. All the best fighters were in the division above. Just like Wlad has been proving, you dont need to be a great boxer to dominate a weak division.
