i started a thread before on valero, vargas and pac. there was good discussion there and i still stick to my view that valero will probably be around the level of vargas at the end of his career. solid wins but nothing spectacular which will catapult him into atg status.

valero will ultimately be undone by technical and powerful punchers like jmm.

and neither does he in mine. vargas was a strong exciting fighter just like valero.

brash, young and arrogant in some ways. but due to age and inability to evolve, he was ultimately undone by the likes of tito and dlh.

and in the same way, valero will suffer the same fate. i just don't see him evolving at this stage in his career when he is turning already 28.

roach got hold of pac when he was 23 i think. enough time to polish the rough gem and look at what he turned out. if you look at the ho valero throws his punches, wide and stance, jmm and a host of other fighters can take advantage of hit pronto.
