On ESPN 2, May 22nd. Not sure if that is FNF, or not ,but I assume so.

I think Oquendo just may be the first to beat Solis. He's certainly light years ahead of anyone Solis has fought yet.

I'd be very disappointed if Solis can't outwork the hell out of Oquendo. Feel kinda bad for Oquendo though. He's already been robbed in his last two televised fights.

I honestly just hope Solis comes into the ring in shape and both guys put on an entertaining fight. The heavies could use some good televised fights.

Oquendo beat Toney (broke my heart so much that I turned it off before the insane decision was read), so we'll see if he can take out another fatty. I think Solis's talent is exceptional, just a shame about his work ethic. Solis in a close decision.

Why is this becoming an increasingly prevalent theme in the HW division? Maybe it has always been and I haven't noticed until recently. But it seems like so many of the HWs that we all want to see succeed have been disappointing lately due to poor conditioning (ie. Solis, Peter, Arreola, et al). It leaves us making the same remark upon each new fight; "Well, if he shows up in shape, then blah, blah, blah...". I'm tired of hoping that a guy won't be fat and slow come fight night. You know, say what you want about the Klitschkos, but they are in top shape for every fight. I wish that we could expect the same of more HWs.

That's a big step-up, Solis needs to be in his best shape, otherwise he'll lose, simple as that. Many think Oquendo beat Toney, Holyfield and Byrd, all very good fighters despite the stage of their career when they fought Fres.

Oquendo is an underrated fighter. He barely had a fight where he lost more rounds than he won. Tua stopped him of course and Ruiz as well, but he was leading on the cards vs. Tua and it was even vs. Ruiz. Interesting to see what Solis can do with him.

Agreed, I pick Oquendo to beat this guy. Solis is very raw with no techical skills. Of Fres does not get caught he will outbox him.

In shape, Solis will beat many.

Out of shape he'd be lucky to be Euro level.

I think he means Euro title contender level. When you say "Euro level," that's a level that is a clear class below world class. Think about guys like Timo Hoffmann or Michael Sprott.

As far as this fight goes, Solis' style matches up well with the stick and move, safety first Fres. Solis' aggression will serve him well. I'll take Solis by wide decision.
