No. I long for an undisputed HW champ. This has nothing to do with Tyson or Tex Cobb or Hurricane Peter. And frankly Tex Cobb would be a step up from JC Gomez.
I can tell you this........ WLAD still wants all the belts. It is still a dream of his. When the time is right, he will continue that dream. Im not worried about Vitali, I am worried about the alphabets and other champions not wanting the unification
Good thread. Honest. I think most neutral fans that had no real distinct feelings about Haye or Klitschko beforehand want Haye to win. That is the case for me anyway. It is the best thing for boxing, it has to be. Only Haye is going to become THE heavyweight champion.
It was a boring fight. Do you really think JC Gomez could: A. Beat Leon Spinks B. Beat Earnie Shavers C. Go 12 with Larry Holmes? Don't be so defensive. It's nothing personal.
A. Yes B. Yes C. Maybe, I'm sure JCG would land a lot more than Cobb who didn't even throw anything............... Tex Cobb was a punching bag who did nothing but walk forward and eat jabs.
Since there is a rematch in the clause I will root for Haye as well .... then we will see Haye-Wlad II ... and since there is also fight with Vitaly in the clause the result of Wlad-Haye II doesn't really matter since Haye will have GUARANTEE to fight Vitaly afterward. So lets Haye wins first, then Wlad whoop his ass next and then lets have Haye-Vitaly at the end.
Lets not underestimate Tex Cobbs ability to catch every punch thrown square on the jaw.If a punch would miss him by chance or not land flush he would almost look suprised.Loved the Shavers fight where Shavers wore himself out throwing one bomb after another and landing at about a 90% clip. The Holmes fight was another clasic Cobb performance.Cobb did have the best jokes and humor in the division, should have been a comedian after he retired.
