A lot has been made of Tito's wrap, but what is that unfair advantage exactly?... I'll tell you this, Papa Trinidad wrapped all of his fighters hands like that, yet only Trinidad is the future HOF. The NYSAC has its rules and that is respectable, but Papa Trinidad wasn't trying to hide anything from them, he was just wrapping his fighters hands like he had been allowed all over the world before, so I'm sure he wasn't gaining a dramatical advantage. Anyone who pays attention to the prehype build up between Trinidad and Hopkins knows Bernard was doing everything in his power to get to Trinidad's head, and the wrapping incident is just part of that, so if you're really going to question Trinidad's career based on the wrapping incident you should also question Oscar's because Freddie did the exact same thing on December 5th, 2008. Other people (like Teddy Attlas and Freddie Roach) have dismissed the "fact" that that way of wrapping hands really made much of a difference, but in the end I'm not trying to change your mind, just making sure you know both sides of the story :good
Fighting from 147 to 160 wining belts at 147 and 154. He's the definition of P4P fighting at multiple weights and having success.
****ing idiot.:-( Williams is a top 10 P4P talent and was briefly ranked there by the ring. The man can't get fights at 147 and for good reason he'll beat anyone there not named PBF.:deal
paul has done more than shane mosley to be in the top lb 4 lb and mosley is ranked 5..personally im not arguing mosley's ranking but based 0n the last 5 fights i think paul has done a little more than all these guys or at least as much..all the fighters below are current top 10 lb4lb! paul williams 37-1 last 5 fights 4-1 3kos antonio margarito 34-4 wbo title 147 W12 UD carlos quintana 25-1 title defense 147 L12 UD carlos quintana 24-1 wbo title 147 W 1 TKO andy kolle 17-1 160 W KO 1 verno phillips 42-10-1 154 W TKO 8 #4isreal vasquez 43-4 last 5 fights 4-1 3kos HASN'T FOUGHT IN OVER 1 YEAR! rafael marquez 37-4 wbc jr fw title 122 W 12 SD rafael marquez 37-3 wbc jr fw title 122 W 6 TKO rafael marquez 36-3 wbc jr fw title 122 L 7 RTD johnny gonazales 33-4 wbc jr fw title 122 W10 TKO ivan hernandez 22-1-1 wbc jr fw title 122 W4 RTD #5shane mosley 46-5 last 5 fights 4-1 3kos antonio margarito 37-5 wbo WW title 147 w9 tko ricardo mayorga 28-6-1 154 w12 ko miguel cotto 30-0 wba ww title 147 l12 ud luis collazo 27-2 147 w12 ud fernando vargas 26-3 154 w6 tko #6 rafael marquez 37-5 last 5 fights 3-2 3kos HASN'T FOUGHT IN OVER 1 YEAR! isreal vasquez 42-4 wbc jr fw title 122 l12 sd isreal vasquez 41-4 wbc jr fw title 122 l6 tko isreal vasquez 41-3 wbc jr fw title 122 w7 rtd silence mabuza 19-1 ibf bantam title 118 w9 rtd silence mabuza 18-0 ibf bantam title 118 w4 tko not saying paul is above any of these guys but you can make a case that he belongs in the same category...and these guys are the top guys..paul mos def has a case for the bottom of the top 10 lb4lb!!
up yours paul mooney. i calls em like i sees em. if you wernt so bias all the time you might ring true when you have a point.
Wow really Mosley just knocked out the champ who knocked the champ out and made em quit and who was consider p4p #6 at that time and before that he knocked out Mayo at 154... But Williams has done more than Mosley?
People act as if all williams has to do is avoid Tito's left hook LMAO are you guys forgetting about Tito's two fisted power ? That right hand was just as devestating ! Williams would get hurt man. He is a tough guy too so it'd be a bad beating for Wiilliams a david reid type beating.
He looked buzzed against Margarito who did not hit nearly as hard as Tito.atsch The 76% was no surprise to me!:bbb
