Would beating the winner of Taylor/Froch convince you of Kessler's "greatness"?

    NO.

Kessler is basic and far from great.

It would be another very good win on his resume.

He needs more than one win over top level at 168 to be considered great. And over a time period.

It'd be a quality win, but at this point I think that it would barely be enough to establish linearity, let alone assure Kessler of greatness.

ATM I think the winner of Taylor/Froch is the man to beat in SMW until Kessler does something notable or Bute rematches and beats Andrade.

Kessler needs to come to the states or at least get some of his fight's shown on TV here.
The guy is quicly being the lost man in a growing division with big names & good young fighter's coming up.

Need to see Kessler sign some sort of deal with an HBO/Showtime for TV time.
Can't wait to see him mix it up with the top's @ either 168lbs & maybe above why not.

If he manages to get out from under Palle, that would be true greatness.

I think Kessler is very good now.....if he beats the winner as above that would just help give him the number 1 spot in SMW.

I dont see Taylor or Froch beating him

If Kessler can beat Taylor (whom I presume will be the winner) he'll have done some convincing on me.

If he beats Taylor (who I also think will win) and can manage to face and beat Bute, I'll be sold. There's a number of other guys he could face to get there eventually since 168's a deep division right now, but that would be the shortest distance to get to greatness. I hope he escape's Palle's decrepit, ghoul like death grip on him and gets the chances to do it.

That being said by the man thinking Allan Green is the best 168.

Like many others, I think it would be a quality win, but to reach greatness, he will need much more than that. Hopkins doesn't count, people would tell he's too old. Bute, Dawson, Balsay, and in the future some young rising stars (Dirrell, Ward), if they develop well. Even then, I'm not sure it would be enough.

I already know that Kessler is a great fighter. He will beat easily Taylor or Froch. He has that amazing jab, and he can laser beam you with shots from so many different angles.

Notice, Bhop never calls out Kessler. The way Bhop talks, you would think Kessler doesn't even exist. And we all know that Bhop only fights guys he thinks he has an advantage over. So, anyone who thinks Kessler isn't good, ask your self that question, "Why then doesn't Bhop call him out or go after Kessler??" Ask yourself!
