Greater fighter? Thomas Hearns or Mike Tyson?

Thomas Hearns he beat better oposition than Tyson did.

hmm says Hearns for the reasons stated above.. also no surprise that Hearns ranks higher in the ATG list.

 

Overall Skill level it would have to be Thomas Hearns.
(He had more weapons & used them, Including having a Master Boxer card if he decided to use it)

Tyson had the skills needed for a fighter of his size against bigger men, where as Hearns was almost always the big man. (They had to use completely different skill set's)

As far a boxing basics Jab, Staright punches & foot movement...Hearns.

 

I like both guys but Tommy Hearns had the greater wins and greater fights. Hearns was more of a warrior than Mike just by the way he fought. Mike did well for a few years and beat all the mediocre guys and cleaned out the division, but he does not compare to a guy like Hearns who beat legends and moved up in weight and kept on winning. Both guys are legends of the 80s and 90s. Hearns just had the better wins against better opposition. I still put Mike in the top 10 of heavyweights.

I am not too sure. I think Hearns would he outbox Mike and stop him late, similar to how Lennox Lewis did.
