Valero gains some G points from that one.. I mean he's not even tripping.. just cool, calm, and collected..not even cursing while Barrios is trying to get nuts when he's the one who ends up looking like the fool. El Inca is G like that.
valero does have that tatoo of venezuelan dictator hugo chavez on his chest. hugo chavez is a close ally of fidel castro.
are you sure it's fair to say juarez stopped him without quaifying that stoppage..considering the cut? i was surprised by, and impressed with, valero's stoppage of pitalua. there are medical issues for both valero and barrios...though, i think, honestly, barrios is probably on the downside of side career and has less left in the tank. i am curious to get a response and not at all digging on your perspective.
i don't know if valero did himself any favors with that ink. there are a lot of deeply conservative, global capitalist boxing fans in the western world. i am sure valero's fiercest supprters and hometown allies will back the sociopolitical sentiment, which is utterly and completely their right. i, myself, believe completely in freedom of expression as long as it is not invoked carelessly or without deep consideration. valero seems like a smart, responsive, responsible young man--despite the past traumatic brain injury that gives me pause about his being sanctioned. personally, i wish the boxing ring was less a political platform that a personal proving ground, but there is no avoiding that aspect of the game. the only question is whether or not valero will struggle with comissions in the west because of his political leanings.
Barrios is nothing more then a gate keeper disguised as a contender. Not sure how much a step up this is from Pitalua, but would be entertaining while it lasts.
It won't matter. Hell he lives here. He's exciting, people wanna see him fight! Valero does not go about telling everyone what he believes in, preaching about it or anything. He's not a communist as Hyena Barrios called him..lol
