The bold part is not true.

Here is the article to give you a little insight on the whole situation:

Edison Miranda-Mikkel Kessler Looks To Be Off!

by James Slater: Big punching super-middleweight Edison Miranda always had his doubts. In the days leading up to what eventually looked like the fight between he and Danish 168 pound fighter Mikkel Kessler being made, Miranda was worried the once beaten "Viking Warrior" would not fight him. Now, it seems, those doubts have been proven to have been prophetic ones..

Top scribe Dan Rafael, in speaking to Leon Margules of Warriors Boxing (Miranda's promotional team) was informed that the fight has been called off with regards to the Kessler camp. Apparently, they made their decision some time yesterday. No reason has yet been given, but it is clear what Team Pantera will be thinking - that Kessler got scared.

Until an official announcement, we cannot be sure, of course. But according to Miranda's people all the demands the Kessler camp made were adhered to in the fight's contract.

"The Kessler people didn't give me any explanation," said Margules. "I'm outraged! If their explanation is that we didn't meet their deal points, I have their points in writing. We gave them everything they asked for. They took the fight and then they backed out."

So far, neither fighter has made any public comments, but no doubt such thoughts will be coming within the next few hours or so. It does seem, however, without being disrespectful to Mikkel Kessler or his team, that the Dane got cold feet. Miranda was reportedly already in training for the bout he clearly wanted.

Once again, it is the boxing fans who lose out, though. A genuinely intriguing and potentially explosive fight, Miranda-Kessler would have been a bout that determined a lot regarding the future of the super-middleweight division. Now that Joe Calzaghe has departed - possibly for good - Kessler, who has only even been beaten by the Welshman, is considered by many as the best fighter in the weight class. A win over Miranda would likely have earned the Dane another world title fight. Whereas a win for Miranda would have solidified the Columbian's reputation as a genuine world class fighter.

Now all that has seemingly gone out of the window, and a fascinating fight is lost - maybe forever. Who knows? Maybe the fight can be salvaged for the future. But don't bet on it. As angry as you may be as a fight fan, though, you can rest assured Edison "Pantera" Miranda is in a far worse mood than you are right now!

yeah i read that b4 but i also read on another sirte during that time that miranda didn't except after hbo approved. it.

    but thanks for th post.

thing is it still doest change the fact that kessler is the man to beat at SMW and at this moment no body is going to beat him Dirrell and ward should hhold off untill he's on the slide then goble him up. remeber he made that mistake in facing Calzaghe had he waited just a bit he could of gotten him( well at least improved his chances :yep)

    Its all good homie!:good

I agree...I dont think Dirrell or Ward would be ready given that they're not battle tested yet but they would present Kessler some problems...Not saying that they would win right now but I can see this being a good fight that will bring out the best of each fighter.

Well they want a fight with Bute is that enough of a step up fight. I dont get the problem...All I hear is Dirrell wont step up Dirrell wont step up. First off he only has 19 fights, and secondly he is trying to step up.

Dirrell could kinda pull a ***** move and go after the WBO belt vs a nobody, but that isnt what he wants, he wants Bute. I dont think that he will get the fight but he wants the fight.

Dirrell's promoter was speaking of a Bute-Dirrell fight after the rematch against Andrade. Since Bute fights in June, maybe Andrade next autumn (if there is not a unification bout against Taylor or Froch, in that case the rematch would be early next year). So, Dirrell-Bute would be next year, which is smarter than in June or Dirrell. he would have some time to fight a top 15 to prepare for Bute.

I could've sworn Dirrell had the WBO titlist Inkin targeted before the Hungarian kid beat him, and once that happened, that's when Dirrell had to go to plan B.

To be fair, it seemed like he was on pace for a title shot in 2009 until that happened, and Findley was a backup plan. If Bute is who he's going for, though, I think it'd take until at least early 2010 for it to happen. In the meantime, getting a couple more fights in against available top 20 comp and looking good in them will help his cause out alot. It wouldn't happen, but I'd like to see him face off against Bika to see how he handles the pressure and rough housing.

The fight between Ward and Miranda will tell us a little more about Andre Ward. Before we can compare him to Dirrell, will have to wait for him to face a good opponent.
