As I said he won clearly but it was not a schooling, not in my book anyway. It wasn't as close as Setanta made it though. If I remember rightly they had him still in with a chance in the last couple of rounds. Having said that Rees put up plucky performance, imo, and as I said I wouldn't call it a schooling.

just wondering, who wants kotelnik to win because they are fans and who wants kotelnik to win because they can't stand khan? (obviously i understand a brit ukranian supporting kotelnik!) i can completely understand people wanting to see khan ktfo when he fights blown up flyweights, or legends with their own following. but when he's moving up in weight to fight for a non-vacant non-wbo title against a fringe world level fighter?
TBH there seems to be a system at play with myself. I generally loath our fighters when they are on the way up, I let the over-lavish praise spouted by Promoters and commentators gets to me. If and when they get the big world title win, well thats when I lay off the criticism more and give them the praise they deserve, as I will if Khan beats the solid if unspectacular Kotelnik. I've found that in most instances my criticism has been justified. There are exceptions to the rule of course. I always liked Haye from the start, right back to his amateur days; and I've always disliked Hatton, even after all he has achieved.
