I care about the domestic scene. As does any real british fight fan.

If that's your opinion then fine, that's cool, most would disagree i think. Many a time the hour show is my main link to up-and-comers e.t.c. Elite fighters are easy to follow at my own leisure.

Perhaps I'm missing the point of the Bunce Hour, but I would like to know why the boxing press in general has absolutely no desire to highlight any of the 'foul play' going on in surely the most scandal ridden of sports. I know Mr. Bunce will tell me boxing's a business. True, but it's not a free for all. Mr. Bunce, you know that Evander Holyfield's mysterious return to the WBA rankings for a shot at Nicolai Valuev was plainly wrong. Yet you turned a blind eye to it. Seeing as you're a journalist, why isn't such a scandal newsworthy? It would be in any other field/sport wouldn't it.

Nobody is asking you to point the finger, but why don't you even highlight such things and let fans, the one's being asked to part with their money, to judge for themselves. It's saddening that you the press don't seem to have the slightest urge or a sense of duty to see that certain people or organizations holding power within boxing are made accountable.

My guess is I shouldn't expect more than an informal chat show from the Bunce Hour and I should learn not to take it seriously - and perhaps not expect any objectivity whilst you affectionately refer to your interviewees as 'Big Boy'.

But in the mean time can you tell me what carpet I should look under to find 'grown up' debates affecting the sport such as ratings scandals, the added danger of fighting a boxer trained on drugs - and would any tragedy be considered a crime?, how to address the problem of big 'fight time' weight differences etc, etc.

So far, I ain't found the carpet and I've been looking for a long, long time.

I wouldn't say nobody cares about the british domestic fighters. As someone said the elite fighters are easy to follow, but some of the domestic guys you can lose track of as they don't get the same amount of exposure.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Haven't heard much about Mitchell in a while.

Not into arse kissing or anything, but I've got to add my voice to the Buncey support. The guy does a lot for us fans and whatever influence he has at Setanta he uses to it's maximum for our benefit.

I don't always agree with his views (and by the way Bunce, I'm still smarting at the way you changed the rules for the DVD comp regarding British fighters in fantasy match-ups!!), but he's a great guy and makes things entertaining at the very least.

I would love to have the Williams/Wright fight on Setanta but if the budget doesn't stretch I understand afterall we got the JMM/Diaz fight which more than makes up for it

This is all good - knockers are welcome. I thought a couple of comments were wrong. Anyway, I've tried to get serious subjects into the show - we had Watson in and I spoke about the medical moves after his last fight that saved several boxers from death. I talk openly about how unfair the sport is but...as I keep saying: This is a business. It's not an excuse but it is a fact.
I was thinking of looking at South African scandals (Tris at BN has done some great work) but it is a snoozer for people.
It's the same with TV companies and their relationships with promoters - who cares and if you really care go and read Hauser's 10,000 essays.

    This show has to appeal...

    Adios.

    Buncey,

Some of those sounds interesting. How about you write storys about them on the Setanta website on your blog. Then people cannot complain as if they want to read it they can just read it.

I would personally like to read an article about promoters and there relationship with tv channels, how a deal is struck, how they pick the fights, how do disputes arrise. Ive always been intrested to know ITV's reaction to Hatton leaving Sports Network after ITV and Warren has struck a 3 year deal.

    Question for the show.

Cassius Baloyi is fighting Malcom Klassen for the IBF super featherweight tile on the 24th, Kevin Mitchell will become there mandatory. Does he see himself going trying to get a figth with Martinez or the winner of Baloyi vs Klassen?

I wondered how long until the Bunce bit back, the internet is far to easily used as a mouthpiece for morons:bart.

Anyway looking forward to the show :good and I'm still hoping I can catch the Froch/Taylor fight somewhere.

Khan v Kotelnik ?! that came as a surprise to me I thought it was Diaz for sure.
