Hes exciting and hes a good kid. But with his style to beat the best he either needs a stiff punch or excellent punch resistance and resilience, he doesn't have either unfortunately.
He lacks power so what is his plan B apart from trying to wear down his opponent? His chin has been shown susceptible too. Good fighter, needs to work on power and defense.
what he needs is to work hard on training....he needs to turn those baby fats into muscles, so he can take his power up a notch... he should be called baby fat diaz rather than baby bull...he would be a frightening fighter if he is ripped or may be toned like a jmm type of physique.....
good but not great. he will probably lose to any borderline elite and Elite fighter whenever he faces them. he lacks power but up to now, he hasn't improved his limited skills to compensate for it. he's good when things go his way but when confronted with adversity, he tends to fold up.
Juarez/Barios - B level fighters. Juan Diaz/Nate - B+ to A- level fighters. Hatton/Cotto - Solid A level fighters, A+ on their best nights. JMM/Pac/PBF - A+ level fighters.
what has Juan Diaz done to seperare himself from the Juarez' and Barrios' of this world. That's the level he's on imo actually Juarez is probably better.
no doubt that is a great feat but the question is against who? the answer is Julio Diaz and Freitas in his retirement fight. Juarez fought for titles against Barrera, Marquez, and Chris John. He gave both Barrera and John a run for their money. The level of competition is not comparable.
He fights hard, just lacks a punch. With his style he would be the best if he could actually hurt people.
That's not true...he is a very tough fighter to match up with. He has a good chin, he is usually the more aggresive fighter, and he usually has a much higher punch output than his opponents. Three important variables that give most fighters fits. The only fighters that will best him in the ring are the truly crafty and durable fighters like JMM and Nate Campbell. Fighters like this are hard to find in any division. Unfortunately for the baby bull, his toughness and willingness to face anyone in the ring has been his undoing. He faced two fighters that most people try to avoid. He deserves a lot more credit for his two losses.
