Pac has fought at a high level from flyweight to Welterweight. Floyd has fought at a high level from Jr Feather to Jr Middle Roy Jones has fought at a high level from Middle to HW DLH has fought at a high level from Jr FW to Middle Hopkins has fough at a high level from Middle to Light HW the list goes on and on... and Ricky cant even handle the heat one division above Jr WW. and this guy thinks hes fighting for the pound for pound title when hes the oposite of pound for poundatsch
I think this forum already has enough haters, we don't need another one, starting hate threads about the same fighters over and over again. Its boring. So Hatton isn't Roy Jones Jr. deal with it.
There is no general consensus on Ricky Hatton one way or the other, so he is neither underrated nor overrated. No one he is saying he is on par with De La Hoya or Roy Jones Jr. Hatton has proved himself to be a very good fighter.
Hatton is underrated considering his KOs of Tzsyu and Castillo. The fact that he struggles at a higher weight (though he did win a belt at 147) is no shame. So did Bob Foster, Winky Wright and Shane Mosley.
Shane mosly moved from LW to WW and beat one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. Wright moved from 154 to 160 and drew with Taylor in a fight most people think he won. as for Foster its much harder to move from LHW to HW than it is to move from JRW to WW. Castillo and Tzyu were past theyre best.
These overrated/underrated threads are just bull**** threads created to generate stupid comments amongst haters. Who gives a **** really. Hatton is a very good fighter his record speaks for itself end of story.
Hopkins stayed at one weight until his was 11 years older than Hatton is now. You know that he won a world title at WW, right? And you're bigging up Wright for moving up one weight and getting a draw...
He is a 2 weight world champion I would hardly call that poor. He is neither overrated or underrated he is what he is. A very good fighter.
i didnt brought up Winky someone else did and that draw that shouldve been a win was against the best fighter in the middleweight division at the time. Ricky won a paper title in a life and death fight against a top 10 contender,he knew he couldnt handle the heat at WW and moved down to JRW to fight smaller guys.
