He is the linear champ at 140. And a former world title holder at 147. He KO'd Kostya Tszyu, stopped Jose Luis Castillo with a body shot, and recently dominaited the NO 1 LWW contender.

Yes. And you hit the nail on the head. He can't compete with any top welterweight, that isn't really debatable. Cotto, Margo, Williams (can still make WW), Floyd, Shane, Clottey, Berto would all beat him up.

that doesnt mean ****,who did he beat ?old tzyu and old Castillo who else?

you say that Mosley has a poor record when Mosley has won titles in three divisions but then you say Hatton has a very good record based on being champ at 140 and winning an alphabet title at 147.that doesnt make sense.

completely agree and despite of that the Hatton fanatics believe him when he says hes fighting for the pound for pound title.

I actually said that Mosley doesn't have a great resume. I did not say "Mosley has a poor record". But if you wan't to make **** up, because the point you are trying and failing to make, is so weak and pathetic in the first place, go right ahead.

If you honestly believe that being the linear champion, and defeating the best guys in your weight class, "means ****", then your not a fan of boxing, and you know nothing about the sport.

He is underrated .... because he been embarrassed with bumper hitting and
finally failed to beat Floyd and wasn't as much successful at the WW division.
He however is best at 140 and he will be remembered as one of the best at that weight.

Hatton's record at 147 is mixed, he won a world title, and got his ass handed to him.

The question was: "Is Hatton overrated?", I don't see even his most idiotic fans saying he is on par with the likes of B-HOP or RJJ, or that could dominate at 147. How can he be overrated when no one is saying anything particularly outlandish or unrealistic about him?

Hatton is a good fighter, his record speaks for itself. End of story.

I'm not a massive fan of his, but when i see peiople saying his 'record is poor', I have to say something!!

the "you dont know nothing about the sport" is old and only desperate kids bring that up when they dont have nothing to say.

who did he beat that is so good that you think is record is great?an old Tzyu that was having a lot of trouble with injuries and only fought three times in the three years leading up to the Hatton fight,an old Castillo that was clearly past his best ,who else is there?

    Maussa,Urango,Tackie,Phillips?

wow those guys re clearly hall of famers.

Because of the reason I stated, yes he is overrated. He is on many P4P top 10 lists, and I don't feel he deserves to be there. When there are at least 6 fighters who would beat you, and may very well KO you 7lbs above you...you are not a P4P fighter.

Hatton as a decent record, yes he could have ditched the WBU title earlier on and everybody who watched the collazo fight he wasn't a true WW. But at 140 he his a excellent fighter.
