Yes he is. He is by far the best grappler in the UFC. By grappling I mean utilizing wrestling and submission techniques on the ground. He is the best at take downs, and the best at defending takedowns. Striking? Alves may be better, we may find this out though. GSP is pretty damn solid on his feet.

When you say JJ, what doo you mean? If you put a Gi on him and threw him in a Black Belt tourney with the rest of the UFC WWs, who would win? I said the best at every aspect of MMA. By that I meant the 4 things I mentioned: Grappling (as a whole), Takedowns, Takedown Defense, Striking. Besides Alves with striking, which I don't completely disagree with, tell me whos a better grappler, who has better takedowns and who has better takedown defense.

Who else at WW would pass BJ's guard so easily, actually nobody has been able to stop GSP from passing their guard.

You must have missed the vaseline bit. Every time BJ pulled guard his legs simply slid down his back.

I do agree that GSP is extremely good in every field. This is probably exemplified by the fact that in training he could train in each discipline by itself and hang in with world class boxers, wrestlers etc

Kos was able to beat him to the punch in some exchange(Alves). GSP would pick him appart on his feet, he is too ''elusive''(ok he isnt machida) and fast on his feet for Alves. But he won't take that risk, and he will probably TKO him under two rounds due to his great wrestling and GnP. Alves need to land that big knee early, or he'll lose.

I'd say AKA, ATT and Xtreme Couture are better and Blackhouse or whatever the team is that has Anderson Silva, Machida etc.

GSP is just such an incredible athlete that I don't think he needs a trainer as such. Or that even if he were at a worse team he would still excel.

The next evolution in MMA will probably come from GSP, but it will be in films and the media. We have all seen a lot of great fighters, but the guy who can get people talking about the sport outside of MMA circles will bring a lot of people to the sport and will revolutionize the sport.

Hahahaha, GSP is the best takedown defender in MMA history, thats high praise to show how objective I am. No ones better ever!.

But elusive? lol. Everytime he fights his face looks like a freaking bruised toato and no that not because his skin is sensitive.

    GSP= Well rounded.

    Elusive? not!

why do you always need to talk out of your ass? GSP HAS a ****in sensitive skin, he had acne problem for a longggg time and his skin was messed up. He was put on strong medecine who made his skin dry and sensitive, it don't take much to make him red you idiot.

Machida isnt the only one who's elusive.
GSP is elusive. The way he prepare his takedown is just so smooth. I'm talking about THAT elusivty(spelling or maybe that don't exist).

Also, he doesnt have just the best defense takedown of all time, he also have the best WRESTLING all around of all time. Before you reply talking about credentials and bla bla bla, i'm talking about effectivness of wrestling IN THE UFC. You can't name one guy who was better at apllying wrestling in UFC.

    http://www.wordreference.com/definition/elusiveness

    elusiveness

the quality of being difficult to grasp or pin down; "the author's elusiveness may at times be construed as evasiveness"

Well, maybe I havent said the right word to say that GSP would pick Alves apart on their feet, but he is hard to pin down:yep

You're on something. GSP is not elusive. He's a great fighter but not elusive.

Again I already praised GSP with the highest praise, thats how objective I am.

Look Im not going to argue with you because you always go crazy.

All I ask you is this, look at GSPs post fight pic after Fitch and lets see his face if it was just red from sensitive skin.

As for the takedown, GSP always gets grabbed for the takedown, see Kos fight...the difference is that he is so athletic that he fights it off with his strength and balance.

When you're "elusive" like Machida you cant even reach him with a shoot.
