This argument between Cotto and his uncle seems pretty serious!

Cotto presented a new training plan to his uncle who rejected it. So Cotto fired his uncle who flipped and attacked Cotto. Cotto got him back with a few punches. They were then separated and both cooled down. Apparently Evangelista's nose was broken and Miguel got a cut on his nose.

Later in the day they argued at Miguel's apartment and outside on the street. Cotto's uncle threw a brick at him outside which missed and hit Cotto's car window.

Cottos already got the technique. I think he just needs someone to work on loads of moves and work him hard. I think Roach is a good coach. Anyone who can teach him cute moves can help. He has reasonably good technique. I like Roach. He'll work him hard on the pads and have him moving his head, using his feet etc Like he does with Khan and Pac.

Roach seems the best choice but Arum has talked about a Cotto-Pac matchup and that won't happen if they're with the same trainer. Plus, Roach has Khan as well as Pac so I doubt the 3 of them will be willing to share the same trainer.

i thought of him second but im not sure if it would work. but you are right mayweather sr would really improve him. he'd make him a little less power orientated and more fluid, working that jab, firing the combos etc

I disagree. Floyd likes the jab more. Floyd seems to start and finish everything off the jab and I like that. Roger occassionaly gets his fighters to pop a jab or two from range.

Floyd is showing with Hatton that he doesn't just need the Guzman, Floyd, Dawson type fighters. He can do things with fighters who have different talents like strength and power.

 

How is he showing anything?

Hatton has hardly done anything differently since getting Floyd, 'part from running around the desert with big ass shoes on.
